Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn

Opening August 12, 2021

Minnie & Friends is an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet that includes lots of great breakfast options, like French toast, made-to-order omelets and Mickey waffles, breakfast potatoes, fresh-baked pastries and breads, fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and more.

While you eat, you’ll also be able to see (and get selfies with) Minnie Mouse and other favorite Disney characters.

This dining experience is held at the Plaza Inn (formerly known as the Red Wagon Inn), a classic Disney restaurant that first opened in 1955. The Plaza Inn was one of Walt Disney’s favorite places to eat. Many of the restaurant’s authentic 19th-century interior furnishings were handpicked by his wife, Lillian Disney.

Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose

Opening August 26, 2021

At Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures, it’s more than just a meal – it’s an experience!

Children will be able to enjoy fun Princess-themed activities and will receive a special keepsake to remember the event. There will also be an exclusive photo opportunity with Disney Princesses on a private patio.

Luckily, you aren’t just paying for the Disney Princess magic. A three-course meal, featuring both breakfast entrees and some savory luncheon items, is included.

For the first course, kids can choose from 3-tier towers of appetizers, which may include ham and cheese sandwiches with cranberry cream cheese; chia and granola parfait with mango, kiwi and coconut; and lobster salad crostini with a dinglehopper (love the Little Mermaid reference!). Adults and children can also enjoy assorted fruit slices and berries, or a sunrise citrus and vanilla bun with raspberry glaze.

Kids’ options for the main course are barbecue beef sliders, house-made mac ‘n’ cheese, and princess waffles. Adults can choose from options like perfect scrambled eggs or a rotating selection of meats, such as roasted nueske pork belly and braised short ribs.

And of course, you won’t want to skip dessert! The sweet treats include seashell macarons, sorbet, chocolate princess cake pops, petite raspberry tarts, and more.

The Breakfast Adventures dining event is held at Napa Rose restaurant, located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Carnation Café

Opening on September 16, 2021

The focus of the Carnation Café is classic American comfort food. At this Main Street USA restaurant, you can dine on delicious breakfast items like spinach and tomato egg white frittata, eggs Benedict, Mickey-shaped waffles, or the all-American breakfast (with 2 eggs any style, potatoes, toast and your choice of hickory-smoked bacon or sausage links).

And at lunch or dinner, you can order one of Walt Disney’s favorite meals – chicken-friend chicken or homemade meatloaf. Other options include loaded baked potato soup, Parmesan-and-panko-coated fried pickles, sustainable catch of the day, spinach salad with grilled chicken, or the chef’s vegan burger.

The Carnation Café first opened in 1955 (known at that time as the Carnation Cafe Ice Cream Parlor). You can choose indoor dining and sit in the Victorian-style dining room. Or, you can take it easy with outdoor seating, under a red-and-white-striped umbrella.
