Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Christmas
Every year, my family and I love visiting Walt Disney World around Christmas time. We love the decorations up at the different parks, like Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. We love the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs. But we have noticed that in the past, there weren’t as much holiday decorations up at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.
Well, all that changed this year! As we previously reported, a new Christmas event just debuted at Animal Kingdom. So of course we had to be there! And we loved it! And as usual, we made a video of our favorite parts of the Animal Kingdom Christmas event:
Decorations & Experiences
So there are a lot of great experiences and decorations that make Animal Kingdom really fun this holiday season. You can spot them in this video.
We really loved all of the decorations throughout the park. All of the decorations perfectly fit into whatever section you were in (Africa, Asia, Dinoland USA, Pandora: World of Avatar, etc.).
There are a lot of great character meet & greets in Dinoland USA, such as with Scrooge McDuck. And how perfect is a Scrooge McDuck meet and greet during Christmas?
And in case you think the holiday event at Animal Kingdom was only about Christmas, well, let me tell you that’s not true! There’s a great Diwali Celebration in India. They had great performers putting on a Diwali celebration show, which you can see in the video.
Also, did you notice in the video the Mickey Mouse as an elf popcorn bucket? I absolutely loved mine and am so glad I bought it! When I was there last week, they only had it on sale at Animal Kingdom and it kept selling out. People kept coming up to me all week asking where I got it! So when you go to Animal Kingdom make sure you buy it and buy it early!
But my favorite part of being at Animal Kingdom during the holiday season has got to be the projections on the Tree of Life! The winter scenes were so beautiful and I love how they incorporated animals into them. We included many of these projections in the video so you guys can see how great it is.
