Thinking about taking a trip to Walt Disney World to visit the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival? Wondering if the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is worth it?
This is one of our family’s favorite events at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. And we definitely think it’s worth visiting. So we at Green Vacation Deals have put together five reasons why you don’t want to miss Disney’s Flower and Garden Festival in 2024!
1) The Gardens
You’ll find a variety of themed gardens at the festival, located throughout the theme park. And whether it’s the China Penjing Garden, Tropical Rainforest Garden, Shakespeare Garden featuring flowers that inspired some of Shakespeare’s works, or Prehistoric Plants showcasing plant life that’s flourished since the days of dinosaurs, there’s always something new to see and learn.
2) The Butterflies
Want to get up close and personal with multiple species of butterflies? Then Butterfly Landing is for you! This butterfly garden is a magical place for anyone who loves butterflies. It’s also educational, with information about the lifecycle of a butterfly and how you can start your own butterfly habitat. It’s always a must do whenever we go to the Flower and Garden Festival. Make sure you visit during the day, though, as Butterfly Landing closes at dusk.
3) The Drinks
There are so many great drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available at the Flower and Garden Festival. You can see all of them – and where to find them – in the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Menu. We’re talking smoothies, herbal tea, wine, beer, cocktails and more.
4) The Food
Of course, you certainly don’t want to miss out on the food, either! Enjoy beautiful culinary creations that taste even better than they look, such as the Chocolate Mousse Terrarium pictured above. The Flower and Garden festival food is great if you want a snack or dessert. But you can also put together a delicious lunch or dinner with the festival food, too.
5) The Topiaries
The topiary displays at the Flower and Garden Festival are truly a sight to behold. They include classic Disney characters (like Donald Duck), newer favorites (like Mirabel, Antonio, Isabela and Luisa from Encanto), and animals (like pandas and geese). And they make for fantastic photo opportunities!
