Have you been to the Avengers Campus in Anaheim, California yet?
The Avengers Campus is one of the newest sections of the Disney California Adventure theme park in the Disneyland Resort. It is dedicated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That makes it somewhat similar to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge over in Disneyland or at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
But one thing I think makes the Avengers Campus better are the character interactions. This is mainly due to the fact that the Avengers Campus isn’t as limited as Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Because Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is set between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker movies, you can only meet characters who appear during those movies.
But Avengers Campus doesn’t have those limitations. It takes place in an alternate universe – which means you can meet with any of the MCU characters, no matter if they’ve been killed off in the movies or not.
And for me, that is absolutely the most preferable. You want to go there to meet your favorite characters, right?
What Characters Can I Meet at Avengers Campus?
So which of those favorite characters can you meet at Avengers Campus?
Well, a lot of that has to do with when you visit. Disney likes to time character appearances with releases of Marvel movies or Marvel Disney+ shows. This means you could make a yearly visit to the Avengers Campus every year and meet a different character in every visit.
And you can have some really great character interactions. Obviously, you are dealing with actors (sorry to spoil this for anyone who thinks that they are meeting the actual superheroes), and actors change so there’s no guarantee. But I know that in particular, Loki is a very popular character to interact with (though I may be very biased as he is my favorite Marvel character).
But Loki isn’t the only character you can interact with, as many characters have appeared at the Avengers Campus since the section debuted back in 2021.
Here are some of the characters who have appeared in the past:
- Peter Parker/Spider-Man
- T’Challa/Black Panther
- Steve Rogers/Captain America
- Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
- Tony Stark/Iron Man
- Thor
- Peter Quill/Star-Lord
- Shuri/Black Panther
- Logan/Wolverine
- Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
- Wade Wilson/Deadpool
- Bruce Banner/Hulk
- Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel
- Scott Lang/Ant-Man
- Hope van Dyne/Wasp
- Clint Barton/Hawkeye
- Sam Wilson/Captain America
- Groot
- Nick Fury
- Dr. Stephen Strange
- Gamora
- Agatha Harkness
- Kate Bishop/Hawkeye
- America Chavez
- Kang the Conqueror
- Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel
- Monica Rambeau
- Cassie Lang
- Mantis
- Okoye
- Ouroboros “O. B.”
- M’Baku
- Phastos
- Sersi
- Marc Spector/Moon Knight
Where Can I Meet Marvel Characters at the Avengers Campus?
Which characters, as well as where you can meet them, change periodically (as I mentioned before). You can find the Disneyland Resort character meet and greet schedule in the Disneyland mobile app.
But in general, great places to find characters for meet and greet experiences include in front of Avengers Headquarters and the Ancient Sanctum.
But those may not be the only character experiences you can enjoy during your day at Disney California Adventure. A neat thing about meeting these characters is that there isn’t just one spot to meet the characters. There are multiple places to meet characters, and multiple ways.
For example, Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off! is an interactive dance show outside the Guardians of the Galaxy ride that takes place around a half dozen times a day. At the end of the show, Groot has been known to make an appearance where you can enjoy a meet and greet.
The same is true with The Amazing Spider-Man! This is a short stunt show where Spiderman performs tricks on the rooftop of the WEB SLINGERS attraction. After the stunt shows are done for the day, Spiderman has been known to come back and pose for pictures. So keep that in mind during your day at Disney California Adventure.
Where Can I Get Cheap Tickets to Disney California Adventure?
So, unfortunately, visiting the Avengers Campus is not free, and I don’t think Wanda can do any spell for us to make our tickets free.
But you can find discounted tickets here. This is a great place to go for your tickets because it is a very reputable place to get tickets (my family has purchased tickets here numerous times), but at the same time, the tickets are always cheaper than going through Disney.
