Would you like to save money on a stay at Disney’s Polynesian Resort?
I know I sure would. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite Disney hotel at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I think it’s one of the best Disney hotels at combining relaxation with the thrill of being at the parks. I love the immersive theming. It is great for visitors of any age. For these reasons, I’ve stayed there more than any other Disney hotel.
How I’ve been able to do that is to use specific hacks my family has learned over the years so we can save money on our stays. Because if you’ve ever looked at staying at the Polynesian Resort, then I don’t have to tell you that it can get quite expensive.
But over the years, my family has figured out ways to save hundreds of dollars on our stay. So we came up with our top five ways to help you get back to the Polynesian Resort without having to break the bank.
1. Book a Disney Vacation Club Villa
Disney’s Polynesian Resort has a few buildings that house DVC villas. DVC villas, by the way, are rooms specifically designed for Disney Vacation Club members.
So you might be thinking, but I’m not a Disney Vacation Member! But here’s the great thing about Disney Vacation Club villas: you can book one even if you’re not a Disney Vacation Club member!
Basically, what you do is rent points from DVC members in order to book it. That is the main way my family has stayed at the Polynesian so many times.
The easiest way to do that is through David’s Vacation Rentals. We talk you through the booking process here. You can also book a confirmed reservation – and if you’re confused what that means, don’t worry; we explain confirmed reservations here.
2. Priceline
So booking through David’s Vacation Rentals is definitely the cheapest way to book a room at the Polynesian Resort. Only negative? If you are looking to book a room for specific dates, there aren’t always DVC rooms available.
So here’s the next place I like to look: Priceline. I have found some great rates for Disney World hotels through this website. So much so that I have paid less through Priceline than I have when booking a room through Disney’s website with my passholder discount. So I would definitely check out Priceline for great rates for Polynesian rooms.
3. Stay on OffPeak Days & Dates
If your travel dates are a bit more flexible, then consider booking for offpeak days of the week and dates. For example, if you look for stays during the week, you’ll pay less. It’s a great way to make a visit at the Polynesian Resort more affordable. And try, if possible, avoiding major holidays such as New Year’s, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
4. Vacation Packages
Still not finding the best rate for Polynesian Resort but want to stay there? Then consider saving money on your overall vacation by booking a vacation package. This is when you book your hotel room along with other parts of your Disney World trip (such as Disney World theme park tickets, a flight, or car rental). You’ll save by bundling and that makes a stay at the Polynesian Resort more affordable. You can find some great Disney World vacation packages here.
5. Swagbucks
One last way you can reduce the cost of a Polynesian Resort stay is through a website called Swagbucks. Swagbucks is something you can earn through watching videos, taking surveys and even just through everyday online purchases you make. I have been using Swagbucks for almost ten years, and it has helped me earn money to take a lot of vacations. You can find out more about Swagbucks & how to earn it here.
If you decide to earn Swagbucks, what you can do is redeem the Swagbucks you earn for Hotels.com gift cards. You can use those Hotels.com gift cards to book a room at Polynesian through Hotels.com.
More Ways to Save at Polynesian Resort
One last thing – there are more ways to save on your stay at Polynesian Resort when it comes to things like dining and products you’ll need for your trip. You can find out more about this in our tips for staying at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.
