Sightseeing & Ski Day Trip from Barcelona

Are you looking for a fun getaway from Barcelona, Spain this winter?  Are you planning a trip to Barcelona but want to enjoy skiing, too?  Then I know of a day trip that you will love!

The Pyrenees: Snow Experience is a wonderful day trip.  You’ll get away from the busy city and instead have a beautiful day in the great outdoors.  It is available on Saturdays from December to March.

Itinerary

You will leave Barcelona at 8:00 am.  You’ll take the rack railway Cremallera and head to the Pyrenees Mountains.  While you ride, you get to enjoy the beautiful views of the hilly landscape.

Once you get there, you take the ski lift to the top.  You get to visit the shrine of the Virgin of Núria, which is located almost 2,000 metres above sea level!  You also get to take in amazing views from the top.

After that, put on comfortable snowshoes.  You’ll need them for your two-hour guided tour of the Vall de Núria resort.  You’ll learn a lot about the history of the area.  The tour guide can speak English, Spanish, and French.

You then get to find out a lot of ways you can have fun in the snow at the Vall de Núria resort!  This includes everything from skiing to snow tubing.
