Halloween is quickly approaching, and that means that it will soon be time for the Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Island theme park in the Cincinnati area!
This family friendly Halloween event takes place on Saturdays and Sundays at the theme park from September 20th through October 27th and is included in your admission (you can purchase discounted admission through Tripster).
If you take your kid to this event they will have a blast – just consider these ten reasons why the Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Island is a must-visit:
1. Trick-or-Treating
Let’s face it, trick-or-treating is usually a child’s favorite part of Halloween. Kids can wear their costumes here and trick-or-treat at candy stops located throughout Kings Island.

Your child can participate in a fun costume contest for a chance to win great prizes!
3. The Great Talking Pumpkin
Meet Patch, the cousin of the famous “Great Pumpkin” in “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”. Children will enjoy not only meeting this pumpkin but talking to it as well.
4. PEANUTS Howling Halloween Party
This is a great PEANUTS Halloween show that is immediately followed by a meet & greet opportunity for your kids with the characters – a wonderful photo opportunity that would like great on your social media accounts!
5. The Monsters Are Coming Charlie Brown
Another great show, you can see Charlie Brown & his PEANUTS pals in their Halloween costumes in a musical adventure that is (thankfully for the little ones) more fun that scary
6. Funky Pharaoh’s Dance Party
A fun chance to sing & dance with Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the PEANUTS gang
7. Shermy’s Tractor Tour
Kids can ride their own mini tractor through a hay maze
