Fall is a really special time. Football has started back. And we have Halloween to look forward to, not to mention that special time of year where you can enjoy football, baseball, and basketball all at the same time.
But before all that is another fun time. And that is Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest of course refers to the largest and most famous beer festival in the world. This festival is held annually in Munich, Germany.
But Munich is not the only place you can find a good Oktoberfest celebration. You can celebrate in Iowa, with perhaps one of the best celebrations actually taking place at Adventureland amusement park in Altoona near Des Moines!
Adventureland is hosting its 9th Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Adventureland Oktoberfest takes place from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event is a great chance to socialize with other adults over 21 years old and drink some great beer.
And the beer alone might be a reason to visit. But the Adventureland Oktoberfest celebration has a lot more than just the beer. Since you are at Adventureland, you’ll be able to enjoy your favorite rides. You can check out a list of rides at Adventureland here.
But that’s not all. There are also games and contests. And there is live polka music!
