Aquatica Orlando Reopening

I love a lot of water parks, but Aquatica in Orlando, Florida has got to be my favorite.  It has the perfect combination of thrill rides, kid’s attractions, lazy rivers, wave pools, and even amazing animals!

You can see for yourself how great the water park is in our Aquatica Virtual Tour:

So I am so excited that Aquatica Orlando is back open!  But like business reopening all over the country, there will be a few changes.  So it’s important you know what to expect before you visit.  So here at Green Vacation Deals, we came up with our list of 6 tips for what to do before you go.  Follow these to help your family have a safer and more fun trip to Aquatica!

Tip #1: Buy Your Tickets Ahead of Time

It’s important that you buy tickets to Aquatica before you go.  For starters, that way your purchase is contactless.  But additionally, you’ll need to have already bought tickets to make a reservation to visit the park.

Now, you may be wondering, what is a reservation to the park?  Well, now you have to reserve a specific day before you go to Aquatica.  Even if you have an annual pass or fun pass, you will need to let Aquatica know ahead of time that you are visiting.  That is because Aquatica is going to limit how many people visit a day.  So before you make your trip, pick out the day you want to go.  Then buy your ticket and make your reservation before the park reaches capacity.

And by the way, now is the perfect time to buy your tickets.  Because right now, Aquatica tickets are included in a SeaWorld Orlando flash sale.  So hurry and buy your tickets now while they are significantly discounted!

Tip #2: Buy Your Parking Ahead of Time

Do you usually buy your parking pass at the park?  This time, Aquatica recommends you buy it ahead of time.  That way, you can make a contactless purchase.  When you buy your ticket, you’ll be able to add on a parking pass.

Tip #3: Wear a Face Mask

Do you have a face mask?  If not, you should get one.  Because Aquatica requires it for all guests ages 2 and up.  You won’t need to wear it, though, when you are in the water (like the water slides, lazy river, wave pool, etc.).  But you will need one for the park entrance, the retail areas, etc.  You can find one on Etsy or Amazon.  And if you’re visiting Disney World during your Orlando trip, you could check out our best Disney face mask list.

Tip #4: Bring Your Own Hand Sanitizer

You’re going to want to keep your hands clean during your visit to Aquatica, right?  Aquatica will have hand washing and hand sanitizer stations and of course, there are a lot of restrooms in the park.  But if you want extra protection, consider getting travel-sized hand sanitizer bottles such as these of your own to bring into the park.  That way, you can pull it out at any time to keep your hands clean.

Tip #5: Get a Contactless Thermometer

Another way that Aquatica will be different is that they will be checking guests’ temperatures before they enter the park.  So if you want to be able to check you and your family’s temperatures before you get to the park, you might want to consider getting a contactless thermometer.  You can get one like this and be able to check the temperature of your entire party.

Tip #6: Get an App for Contactless Payments

Aquatica wants you to use contactless payment methods when you buy something while you are in the park, such as food and drink.  So if you don’t already have one, you’ll need to get a contactless payment app like Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Android Pay.
