Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas is one of the premier educational and leisure centers in America. You can learn a lot about conservation and wildlife from their three main pyramid attractions. There’s the Aquarium Pyramid which is home to a lot of marine animals like sharks, penguins, and fish. The Rainforest Pyramid features tropical plants, reptiles, butterflies, monkeys, etc. And the Discovery Pyramid features science-oriented exhibits.
Palm Beach
But certainly, another big reason to visit Moody Gardens is Palm Beach. Palm Beach is a wonderful waterpark featuring an artificial beach. It is the only white sand beach in Galveston. You can relax on the beach and have a great day. There are comfortable beach chairs & lounge chairs. There are shady umbrellas that will keep you cool. Just please note that these are available on a first-come, first-serve basis so you’ll need to show up early.
But Palm Beach is more than just the beach. There are other attractions too:
- A lazy river
- A wave pool
- Aquarium Adventure, a group of slides with a dump bucket
- Splashpad, which is the toddler section of the water park
- Tower Slides, which are two large water slides
