Sesame Place’s “A Very Furry Christmas” is a great place to be during the holiday season. This Philadelphia area children’s theme park is transformed into a unique Christmas wonderland. You can enjoy Christmas themed shows, dining, lights, shopping, and rides. There’s snow falling and millions of Christmas lights.
But that’s not all. There’s a 123 Christmas Tree Light Show over at Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage. That’s where you’ll find Sesame Place’s 30-foot Christmas tree decorated with beautiful Christmas lights.
You can enjoy the holiday sing-along adventure featuring all your Sesame Street favorites. This includes Big Bird, Elmo, Bert, Ernie, Zoe and even Oscar. You can also see them in a show called Elmo’s Christmas Wish. There’s also a holiday dance party. There’s Christmas Storytime with Sesame Street friends.
But Sesame Steret characters aren’t the only characters you’ll see during this holiday event. There also beloved holiday characters here. You can visit with Santa in his Furry Workshop. You can also meet Rudolph and his friends Clarice and Bumble at Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland. Visits with these characters would make for great photo ops!
And perhaps my favorite part: you can enjoy the Sesame Street Christmas Parade! It features great floats, dancing, and popular holiday songs like “Jingle Bells”, “Sleigh Ride”, and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” (performed in rap form by Elmo, of course). And of course it features beloved Sesame Street characters!
If you get hungry or thirsty, you can get some treats at the Merry Marketplace. You can enjoy Cookies and Cocoa with Cookie Monster. And there’s a holiday-themed character dining experience!
