Are you taking a family trip to Hawaii?  Then you should head to one of Oahu’s top ten most visited family attractions: Wet’n’Wild!

Wet n Wild is a great family water park in Kapolei, Hawaii.  It will probably be the most beautiful waterpark you’ve ever been to, as it is located among lush tropical landscaping.  The waterpark also has lots of great attractions the whole family can enjoy.  I’ll tell you about some of these great attractions – and then I’ll tell you how you can save money on your ticket!

Attractions

Shaka

Shaka is a thrill ride that is a unique combination of a wet ride and a dry ride.  The highlight of this new attraction is that you plunge down a sheer 36-foot drop at an angle of 70 degrees.  This will feel like a vertical drop!  You’ll get up to speeds of 31 miles per hour and you’ll feel a “zero gravity” sensation.

Volcano Express

This is a great mat racer slide attraction, just taken to a whole new level.  The 240-foot raceway launches you from 42 feet high into an enclosed tube.  You’ll then go down the slides at speeds of more than 20 feet per second.  Its location nestled along the natural cliffs makes the entire experience even better.

Tornado

Speaking of a great location, the Tornado attraction is located on the edge of Kapolei hills.  This gives you stunning views of Oahu.

And in addition, it is also a great water experience.  You’ll board a two or four-person clover-leaf tube.  You’ll be catapulted from 50 feet in the air.  Then you’ll go through a 130-foot tunnel before your plummet into the eye of the storm. You then spin around the Tornado’s funnel before you’re released into the much calmer water below.

O-Hana Highway

This fun family white water rafting experience starts Seven stories above the cliffs of Kapolei.  Two or three riders will slide down on a family raft, with some steep drops along the way and some drops of more than 40 feet.

Waianae Coasters

This attraction consists of three unique slides.  And these are not your everyday water slide.  No, with all the drops and twists and dips, this is definitely for the adrenaline-lovers and not for scaredy cats (like myself).  You’ll end up going four and a half stories down a cliff.  You can choose from an enclosed ride or an open ride.

Waimea Whirl

This two-person, rainbow-colored water raft thrill ride includes being dropped into the bowl at high speeds before being flushed down the drain into a splash pool.

Big Kahuna

This is a popular water slide attraction with a lot of twists and turns down a slide in a tube meant for two or three people.

Surf Sliders

Surf Sliders is a great body slide attraction. You can choose from three exciting rides.  You’ll twist and turn down the slide until you splash into the pool below.

Kapolei Kooler

Kapolei Kooler is an 800-foot lazy river surrounded by a lush tropical garden.  You can lie back on your inner tube and relax as you float through these gardens and cave-like 10-foot walls.  Every now and then, you’ll see the occasional waterfalls, water spouts, or rushing rapids.  It is a great experience that can also be quite relaxing.

Lil Kahuna Beach

Lil Kahuna Beach is a great place for kids to run around, splash around, and just have fun.  It is an 8,000 square feet water playground with tipping buckets, slides, spray features, and 60 other keiki fun activities.

Keiki Kove

Keiki Kove is a great children’s water playground with fun and interactive water activities like water cannons, mini-water slides, a mini-water spouting volcano, and a mushroom that spurts out water in the middle of the area.

Da’ Flowrider

People often go to Hawaii to surf, right?  But what if you wanted to surf in a more controlled environment first?  Well, surfers of all experience and skill can ride a 40-foot continuous wave at this pay-per-play premium attraction.  This is the only place in Hawaii you can get this, as this is Hawaii’s only simulated surfing experience.

Hawaiian Waters Wave Pool

Here’s another way to enjoy waves like the ocean in a more controlled environment, though this one is included in the cost of your admission.  You’ll be able to ride two-foot-high swells similar to what you might experience in Waikiki Beach.  You can use a tube or you can body surf.  Or you could enjoy gently rolling waves in the shallow end.
