A popular summer activity in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest at Penn’s Landing. The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation does a great job planning this wonderful event for Philadelphia area residents or anyone visiting Philly over the summer. It is no wonder that it is one of Philadelphia’s favorite seasonal events.
This seasonal event has a carnival-like atmosphere. It has an outdoor roller skating rink and a boathouse-styled lodge. In that sense, it is almost like a winter festival just with roller skating instead of ice skating and more of a summer flavor.
But it also has a feel of a fun coastal town. There are boardwalk games and rides. Popular attractions include the Ferris Wheel and the Double-Decker Carousel. There’s also a Gravity Storm Moon Bounce, mini-golf, and an arcade.
Food and drinks are available for purchase. And you get to do all of this while enjoying amazing views of the Delaware River and Ben Franklin Bridge.
This is a great event for families as adults and children can both find fun things to do here. It also makes for a great time out with friends or a date night. Or a great place to meet new people!
