Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend in Toronto, but want to make sure it’s safe given Omicron? Then I think I have the perfect activity for you. And that is Snow Magic!
Snow Magic is presented by Drive Thru Fun Co. And yes, you read that right, drive-thru. That’s what makes it so safe. You can stay in your car and stay safe. You won’t have to worry about social distancing then!
And as you drive through the event, you’ll get to enjoy seventeen art installations created by 10 Canadian artists.
These artists include:
- Nadine Bariteau
- Nathan Whitford
- Philippe Blanchard
- Ryan Longo
- Studio F Minus
- Tarna Industries
- Metaverse Arts
All the artwork was inspired by fire, ice, and light. Their artwork creates epic legendary creatures, mysterious sights, and crystalline caverns.
The artwork is even set to music, too. You can turn to an FM radio station to hear the Snow Magic Soundtrack as you drive through the event.
Everyone in your car can enjoy the art, too. You are encouraged to drive slowly (the maximum speed limit is 5 kilometers an hour anyway), stop briefly at each exhibit to enjoy the art and take any photos or videos that you want. Please note, though, that even though you can stop, you must remain in your vehicle. And you have to stay within the marked route.
The event takes place at Ontario Place at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West in Toronto. The event was recently extended through January 23, 2022.
