Edinburgh Food Festival will be calling George Square Gardens home for ten days in July. The Festival is the city’s largest free to enter food festival. It showcases the vibrant Scottish street food scene, hosts top industry figures, has chef’s demonstrations, panel discussions, tastings and more. All this will be happening from July 18 to 27, 2025.
This year the festival has a new name with the addition of ‘Folk.’ Added to the festival will be a new star studded Folk music program. The musical line up will include Paper Sparrows, Rain of Animals, Sarah Irvine and Big Lightnin’. You’ll hear the best folk music Scotland has to offer.
The Global Kitchen will be home to food vendors with a wide variety of food offerings. The vendors will keep visitors delighted with their delicious bites and refreshed with drinks. There will be food to suit any dietary requirements. Vendors will have vegan, halal and gluten free offerings.
The festival will host a daily Producers Market with artisan produce, including charcuterie, patisserie and baked goods, fine cheese, seafood, fruits, preserves, olives and deli meats and more.
The Treehouse Events has a daily program of events with masterclasses, workshops, talks, producer led tastings with food pairings and more. There will also be children’s activities.
Get ready for the culinary showdown of the year. Culinary experts will be coming from all over the U.K. to serve up their delicious menus on July 18 to 27, 2025. They will go head to head trying to be the winner of the British Street Food Awards 2025. Visit the festival that weekend and vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award.
