Central Park Christmas Carriage Ride

New York City is magical at Christmastime.  The magical lights around the city are breathtaking.  Central Park is also a beautiful sight.  And the best way to experience this is on a horse and carriage ride!

This NYC Fancy Rides operated tour starts at Central Park South & 7th Avenue.  You then spend fifteen wonderful minutes seeing the sights of Central Park.  This includes:

  • Wollman Ice Skating Rink
  • Central Park Carousel
  • Chess & Checkers House
  • Central Park Zoo
  • the Dairy
  • the Mall

The next part of the tour covers 5th Avenue!

Some of the sights you’ll see here include:

  • The Plaza and Peninsula hotels
  • St. Patrick’s Cathedral
  • Rockefeller Christmas Tree with Herald Angels & Ice Skating Rink
  • The UNICEF snowflake, St. Patrick’s Cathedral
  • Saks Fifth Avenue Light show
  • Radio City
  • Love Sculpture
  • Holiday displays at flagship stores of world-famous brands
    • Tiffany & Co.
    • Bergdorf Goodman
    • Cartier

This is an absolutely delightful way to spend the holiday season in New York City.  It would make a great family activity.  It would also make a wonderfully romantic date!

The carriage rides are great for tourists traveling to New York for the holidays.  They are also great for native New Yorkers to take some time to appreciate the beauty and magic of Christmas in New York City.

As it is a private horse and carriage ride, only your group will participate.  There is a limit of 4 people.  But that’s great for social distancing purposes, right?

Additional Information

Given the current worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, there are a few specific precautions taken to limit the spread of the virus.  Face masks are required for everyone involved.  If you do not have a facemask, one will be provided for you.  The vehicle and all equipment involved will be regularly sanitized.  Hand sanitizer is also available to you.

Please note this is stroller accessible but unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.  Infants must sit in a lap.  Service animals are allowed.  It is not recommended, however, for anyone with a serious horse allergy.
