Looking for some family fun this fall in Southern Indiana? Then look no further than Cornucopia Farm!
Cornucopia Farm is the premiere fall destination for families in the area. It is conveniently located less than ten miles from Scottsburg, Indiana. It’s a quick drive from metro areas like Cincinnati, Ohio, Louisville, Kentucky, and Indianapolis, Indiana. It is a great place to go if you want to get away from the city and enjoy the simple fun of farm life. And it is great fun who live in nearby rural areas, too!
Cornucopia Farm is owned by Kevin and Linda Baird, who are the 4-H club leaders of the Gibson Township Super Stars. They are recipients of the 2012 Indiana Farm Family of the Year award and the 2013 River Friendly Farmer award. So you know you’ll be visiting a great place.
Activities
But enough backstory. I am sure you want to know why you should visit Cornucopia Farm in the fall! Well, there are a lot of family-friendly fall activities. This includes:
Corn Mazes
They have a six-acre maze. Make sure before you enter you grab a maze card so you can find all 12 signs in the maze and answer all the questions. You then can drop off your filled-out card in the pumpkin shed to see if you can win a fun prize!
Soybean Maze
The soybean maze is smaller than the corn maze, but it is still challenging. You can fill out a maze card with the soybean maze, too!
Petting Farm
Cornucopia Farm has a petting farm with pigs, goats, chickens, sheep, calves, and more! You can pet and feed these animals. And in the afternoon, you might be able to give a bottle to a baby calf!
Super Straw House
Children will love climbing around this straw house made from 3′ x 8′ bales of straw.
Giant Hillside Slide
This giant slide, which is actually made from recycled plastic milk jugs, is on a hill so you can slide down eighty feet of fun!
Terrific Tunnel Slide
The Terrific Tunnel Slide is an enclosed slide where you comfortably land on a mattress.
