Bayfield is a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Superior.  But when the sun goes down, the shadows begin to dance.  Take a guided walking ghost tour through Bayfield’s dark and eerie streets and hear about those who have been unable to eternally part from the town.

Your guide will be a paranormal expert.  You’ll meet in the parking lot of the Old Bayfield Courthouse.  Your guide will tell you about the strange things that happen there at night.

Lake Superior has been called the Graveyard of the Great Lakes, home to many  mysterious shipwrecks, supernatural sightings and fascinating legends.  The Old Bayfield Courthouse now serves as the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Visitor Center.  Your guide will tell you about the Apostle Islands, an archipelago of 21 islands with more than their fair share of ghostly encounters, shipwrecks and drownings.

Your guide will also tell you about Bayfield’s very own Big Foot.  There’s been so many sightings of him that he’s gotten  a nickname.  The locals call him  “Big Harry.”

Greunke’s First Street Inn was built in 1865 and was later turned into a boarding house.  Now it’s a Bed & Breakfast with a resident ghost the owners call Irene.  You’ll hear all about her haunted hijinks.

Another beautiful Bed & Breakfast is Le Chateau Boutin which was built for Bayfield’s first millionaire.  You’ll hear about the dark energy and mysterious events that have occurred there.

You’ll get a look at all that is seen…and unseen.  Experience chills as you visit the haunted sites.

Be sure to bring your camera.  You never know what you might capture.  You’ll hear about the Trench Coat Man and you might even see him.
