AfterLife & IL Entertainment will be presenting Hip Hop Recall with Ying Yang Twins, Twista and Dem Franchize Boyz. This will be happening at the Hobart Art Theater on Saturday, August 3, 2025. This show will be a part of the Lakefront Scenes, taking place outdoors behind the Theater.
Performers
Ying Yang Twins
Kaine & D-Roc make up the Ying Yang Twins. They’re a Hip Hop Crunk duo and they’re not twins or brothers or related in any way. They made their debut with “Whistle While You Twurk” in 2000. Their hits include “Wait (The Whisper Song)” and “Get Low.”
Twista
Twista is a rapper best known for his chopper style of rapping. He once held the title of fastest English speaking rapper in the world in 1992 by the Guinness World Records. He pronounced 598 syllables in 55 seconds. His greatest hits include “Let Go” “Girl Tonite,” “Overnight Celebrity” and his #1 hit, “Slow Jams.”
Dem Franchize Boyz
A Hip Hop group from Atlanta, Dem Franchize Boyz describe their style as “laid back crunk” or “snap music.” Their album, “On Top Of Our Game,” had the huge hits of “I Think They Like Me” and “Lean With It, Rock With It.”
