Are you a big fan of the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to experience that in real life? And no, I don’t mean having to run from dinosaurs to avoid being eaten. I actually mean getting to see life-size dinosaurs up close. Well, now is your chance: Jurassic Quest!
Jurassic Quest is an exhibit that is touring the country, and it will be coming to the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. It will be there from August 4th through August 6th, 2023 at the following times:
- Friday, August 4, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday, August 5, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
And it is a really neat event. My family went recently and we loved it. They have life-size animatronic dinosaurs that even move. Paleontologists advised them so they would be true to detail. And the details they get are really great. I was particularly fascinated by the feathers on the raptors and the eyes of the T-Rex. It really felt like its eyes were following me!
In addition to seeing these dinosaurs, you’ll learn about them too, via video and facts that are listed by the dinosaur. You’ll learn about facts like if they lived in the Cretaceous, Jurassic or Triassic period, whether they were a carnivore or herbivore, where they lived, how big they got, etc. So it is an educational experience that is also a lot of fun.
And it’s fun for younger kids who may not be able to read these fun facts. That is because there are great fun activities set up for little kids. Whether they want to slide down an inflatable house, ride a dinosaur, dig for fossils, or even see and touch a raptor up close in a Dinosaur Encounter feature, they’ll have a lot of fun.
So this is a great event that adults and children can enjoy. And adults especially will love how much money they can save on a ticket!
