If you’ve ever been fascinated by Viking history, culture, and Norse mythology, then I have the event for you. The 8th annual Vikings Con is coming to the Charles County Fairgrounds in LaPlata, Maryland, from November 1-2, 2025. This gives you an opportunity to not only learn more about Vikings but also get to experience for yourself what it is like to live and play as a Viking. And you can have this experience at a discounted price here.
But first, let’s talk more about what you can expect from this Vikings convention. This convention features a full Viking Village. So you’ll really feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It’s a great event for everyone who loves cosplaying.

Panels, Presentations & Demonstrations
Really want to learn about life as a Viking? Then head to a panel, presentation, or demonstration. There are some good ones available here, such as:

Performances
The Bagpipe band Rogue and Raven will be performing at the event, as well as the Pyrophoric Fire Dance Troupe.
Disablot Ritual
You can also participate in the sacred Disablot Ritual on the Main Stage, which is an autumnal festival honoring the disir (female spirits), warrior goddesses, and Valkyries.
Competitions
There are strongman competitions on the Main Stage and an archery tournament held on Sundays.

Try your hand at axe throwing!
Food & Drinks
Traditional Mead is available (where else?) in Mead Hall. Food is available there, too.
