My family just got back from another stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld. My family really loves staying there. It’s a really nice hotel with a resort feel. The location is amazing, too, since you can walk to both SeaWorld theme park and Aquatica water park.
You can read our full review of the hotel here. But I can tell you now one reason why we love the hotel is because of the dining options. And one of those dining options we want to talk about in more detail is Alberto’s Pizzeria.
Alberto’s Pizzeria is a wonderful choice if you are looking for a quick meal. And that can be really important when you are enjoying a great vacation in Orlando. Sometimes you want a quick meal before you head to the parks or after you get back for the night. And Alberto’s Pizzeria is definitely a great option for this.
Alberto’s Pizzeria Location & Set Up
You can find the restaurant near the lobby of the hotel and Laguna Restaurant & Bar. When you walk into the restaurant, there are a couple of tables there.
But there is also a lot of seating outside the restaurant.
When I was there in December and January, the weather was really nice and it was enjoyable sitting outside and enjoying the weather. This past weekend, it was a bit hot to be sitting out there in the middle of the day, which is something to keep in mind when eating here.
You can also take your food to one of the tables around the pool or the water around the resort. This gives you not only wonderful views but a great atmosphere, too.
Ordering Your Food
You can go in the restaurant and order your food.
It is a quick-service restaurant and not a sit-down restaurant.
They said you could also call in an order. I tried that once, but when I called the number did not work. But it really wasn’t a big deal. I just walked over and put in my order. This was when I ordered pizza. They told me it would be ready in fifteen to twenty minutes.
This was incredibly convenient for me because I was watching a football game. I came down during a commercial to make my order. Then I went back to my room and came back after about ten minutes. When my pizza was ready, I brought it back to my room. My family and I were able to enjoy our pizza while watching the game. This made for a wonderful end to my day.
Everyone working there was extremely nice and helpful, too. It really added to my enjoyment of my meals here.
Breakfast
You can get the day started at Alberto’s with a light breakfast. They serve Starbucks coffee. They also make a number of delicious pastries. I got a slice of blueberry bread last weekend, and it was really delicious.
If you want a full breakfast, though, you can go next door to Laguna Restaurant & Bar.
Lunch & Dinner
Alberto’s Pizzeria is really great at lunch and dinner, too. As you might expect from the name, it serves Italian food. It’s a great place to go to get a pizza.
They have a lot of great pizza options. You can get a smaller, 8-inch pizza or a 16-inch pizza. You can get choose from options like pepperoni, all meat (with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and chopped ham), or Tuscan Veggie (with onions, mushrooms, peppers, spinach, and vine ripe tomatoes). Or you can also build your own pizza by selecting three toppings. Then you can add more toppings for an additional $1.50 per topping.
But my favorite option was the Cheese Pizza Special. It’s a large, 16-inch pizza for just $15.95. It had made from scratch dough with fresh mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. And it was delicious!
We also got a small pepperoni pizza, which was also delicious.
The pizza really hit the spot. We had it after a long day at SeaWorld.
Alberto’s Pizzeria has other Italian foods, too. You can get hot subs: meatball subs or Tuscan Chicken subs. I haven’t tried the Italian sub. But the Tuscan Chicken sub is really good.
The chicken is good and not too spicy.
You can also get Italian meatballs with house sauce topped with fresh Mozarella cheese. You can get homemade garlic knots on the side.
They also sell chicken wings. You can get your choice of one of these sauces: Ranch, Blue Cheese Dressing, Buffalo, Garlic Rosemary, Teriyaki, Mild, BBQ, and Mango Habanero.
You can also pick up ready-made salads. I really like this option because it means you can get your meal very quickly. I particularly like the Chicken Caesar Salad.
Like with the sandwich, the chicken is really good.
All of these are great options for not only dinner but lunch. Meals at SeaWorld Orlando can be expensive if you don’t get the SeaWorld All Day Dining Plan. You can always spend the morning at SeaWorld, then come back here for lunch. After lunch, you can cool off at the pool or take a nap. Then you can head back to SeaWorld at night on days SeaWorld is open in the evening. This also works if you are visiting at night for Howl-O-Scream. You could even consider having an early dinner here before you go, or at one of the other restaurants at Doubletree!
Drinks
One other great thing about this restaurant is the drink options. If you like soda, you actually have a choice of both Coke and Pepsi products. This is pretty rare at hotels and I liked it since I really like both Coke and Mountain Dew.
But they also have a number of beer and wine options available here, which is really great when you want to relax at night. And you don’t have to worry about driving here since you can walk to SeaWorld. And if you are having a drink at night, you can just walk back to your room afterward.
Conclusion
Alberto’s Pizzeria is definitely a restaurant I would recommend you and your family try if you are staying at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld.
