With amazing thrill rides, fun children’s rides, delicious food, and entertaining shows, Carowinds theme park has long been an excellent destination in the Carolinas.
Today, we’re going to take a brief look at some of those great attractions and things to do at Carowinds. And then we’ll share how you can currently save big on discount tickets – a discount of half off!
Roller Coasters
If you love roller coasters, you’re in luck! Carowinds boasts 11 roller coasters and 3 kids’ coasters.
These roller coasters include:
Fury 325
The longest steel roller coaster in North America, Fury 325 will take you into both North and South Carolina.
Intimidator
Inspired by NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, this is one of the top 10 tallest steel coasters in North America. (Fury 325 is on that list as well!)
Carolina Cyclone
This was the first roller coaster on Earth with 4 inversions when it opened in March 1980.
Copperhead Strike
Copperhead Strike, the first double launch coaster in the Carolinas, has the most inversions of any double-launch roller coaster in North America.
Nighthawk
On Nighthawk, the first flying coaster in the Carolinas, you can enjoy incredible views of the theme park.
Camp Snoopy
Kids have a lot of options for fun at Camp Snoopy, a large (12 acres) themed area ideal for younger guests. Some of those include:
Beagle Scout Acres
This children’s playground is great if your child has a lot of excess energy to burn – and doesn’t want to wait in any lines, either.
Flying Ace Balloon Race
The hot air balloon themed ride gets its name from Snoopy’s alter ego, the World War I Flying Ace.
Snoopy vs. Red Baron
On this ride, kids can fly a colorful mini fighter plane and help Snoopy battle the Red Baron.
Kite Eating Tree
Poor Charlie Brown can’t get his kite untangled from this tree. Young guests can ride this attraction, which is basically a miniature, gentle drop tower for children.
PEANUTS Pirates
Kids can ride mini pirate ships on this fun attraction.
