Shark Run 5K
The Wharf in Orange Beach is hosting a Shark Run 5K at 7 am on the 4th of July. There will also be a fun competitive walk. Afterwards, there will be an awards party with free refreshments and cold beverages for all participants at Sandshaker.
Independence Day Street Party
The Wharf will be hosting an Independence Day Street Party beginning at 5 pm. Admission and parking are free. Activities range from $5 to $10. There are plenty of family activities, including

- Face Painting
- Camel Rides
- Rock Wall
- Battle Zone
- SPECTRA Light Show
DJ Silky will be in attendance, spinning dance tunes. There will be special appearances by Uncle Sam, Lady Liberty and more. See palm trees dancing in red, white and blue. The evening will end with fireworks at 8:45 pm.
Flora-Bama All American BB
For years, visitors and locals have flocked to the Flora-Bama All American BB! 4th of July Party. Flora-Bora is the most famous beach bar in the United States.
Their Independence Day celebration begins on July 2, 2022, with the Freedom Run. This is a 4 mile Run/Walk Course. There is also a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Runners are encouraged to wear red, white and blue. There will be Finishing Medals for all who finish and $20 Flora-Bora Gift Cards to Top 10 males and females.
Other 4th of July Events
Also on July 2, 2022, is the Miss Firecracker Contest which is a bikini contest.
On the 4th of July, Flora-Bora will be celebrating Independence Day with live music, great drinks and delicious BBQ! Their annual fireworks show is fantastic.
The Lodge at Gulf State Park is hosting a 4th of July celebration in the Gulfview Ballroom & Terrace. There will be food, games, live music and a watermelon eating contest. The celebration starts at 5:30 pm and will go until 9 pm. Then the Gulf State Park will have its fireworks display. Pricing for the celebration is $85 for adults and $44 for children.
What to Do in Orange Beach
There’s a lot to do in Orange Beach on any day. You can go on a Dolphin Watch Cruise or take a Sunset Sailing Cruise. Rent a Polaris Slingshot, or go fishing, parasailing, or snorkeling.
