The 3rd Annual American Craft Sake Festival is coming to the National American Sake Brewery in Charlottesville, Virginia. This will be happening on July 22, 2023, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Sample sake from twelve different breweries with more than 20 different styles of sake. You can compare notes on the samples with other sake enthusiasts.

You’ll have a chance to meet and speak with sake brewers. Participating breweries include

Sake is known as rice wine. It isn’t a wine, it’s really a beer. Beer is an alcoholic beverage made by converting the starches in a grain into sugar and then fermenting them into alcohol. That’s what is done to the grains of rice to turn it into sake. There will be multiple seminars at the festival where you can learn about sake brewing, its techniques and styles.
