Break out the lederhosen and grab a stein of beer! Get ready to celebrate Oktoberfest the Arizona way at the Gilbert Oktoberfest. In Gilbert, you can be German for a day, no questions asked.

Let’s face it, beer is the big draw here. So say cheers to great beers from some of Gilbert’s finest local craft breweries or other traditional beers. You’ll have lots of beers to choose from here. Sip your brew and socialize with other beer enthusiasts and would be Germans.

Local Craft Breweries

Featured local craft breweries include

  • Uncle Bear’s Brewery – Taproom & Yard
  • Flying Basset Brewing
  • OHSO Brewery & Distillery
  • XWEST Brewing Company
  • Desert Monks Brewing Company
  • Four Silo’s Brewery

And, of course, you’ll want food to go along with all the beer. Bratwurst, pretzels and other German foods will be available for purchase.

Enjoy listening to traditional polka music. The featured performer at this year’s festival will be “Queen of Oktoberfest” and her band, “The Oktoburlesques.” In addition to the polka music, they’ll perform twisted beer centric versions of top 40 hits. You’ll be entertained and amused.

During the day, there will be lots of fun activities and contests. There will be a “Masskrugsstemmer” or a stein holding contest. You’ll hold a full stein of beer at arm’s length for as long as you can. It’s a lot more challenging than it sounds. You can also compete in brat eating contests for prizes.

A day of beer, live entertainment, beer, delicious German food, beer, great company and beer – what more could anyone want?
