Tour the beautiful South Bay beaches of Los Angeles in a 1957 pink Cadillac.  Your tour guide will be a former TV sitcom writer.  That classic car should be filled with lots of laughs.

El Segundo

El Segundo is a coastal community, nestled into a metropolis.  It is home to the original Rock & Brews, a restaurant founded by rock musicians, including Kiss’ Gene Simmons.  El Segundo High School is the most photographed school in the world.  It was in “Blackboard Jungle,” “Wargames,” “Superbad,” “Joan of Arcadia,” “All American” and “90210.”  The beach is not as crowded as some others and it’s known for its picturesque sunsets.

Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach Pier is known for beach volleyball, swimming and surfing.  The main beach is set along The Strand, a bike path that winds from South Bay to Pacific Palisades.  Shops, pubs, and restaurants are where you go when your time at the beach is done.  You can hear a shout out to Manhattan Beach in the Beach Boys’ hit, “Surfin’ USA.”

Your guide will tell you about the history of the area and fun facts as you walk the pier, visit shops and walk on the sand, if you want to.  Take in all the beautiful coastal views.

Hermosa Beach

Hermosa Beach is known for its lively nightlife.  It was a popular vacation destination in the 1900s, the classic beach for surfers in the 60s and 70s, the punk rock music scene in the 80s and 90s.  Today many international travelers come to Hermosa Beach looking for an American beach experience.  Many locals like to go there to fish off its extensive pier and to go surfing or windsurfing.

Redondo Beach

Redondo Beach Pier and King Harbor are known for their restaurants, boat tours, windsurfers and sailboat rentals.  It is the most commercial pier on the South Bay.  It is the largest small boat marina on the west coast.

Point Vicente Lighthouse

Point Vicente Lighthouse sits on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.  On a clear day, Point Vicente has views of all of Santa Monica Bay.  You can see from Catalina Island to the mountains above Malibu.  The views you get will be unforgettable.

Point Vicente is also a popular whale watching location.
