Do you have the need?  The need for speed?

Well, you can experience that at Grand Prix Raceway in Lakewood, Washington!  Grand Prix Raceway is one of the fastest indoor tracks in the United States.  It is a great place to visit in the Pacific Northwest if you love thrill and adventure.

You can race around a track on real racing karts that were designed for competition.  These are identically-prepared racing chassis equipped with powerful Honda engines, centrifugal clutches, and high-performance racing slicks.  These 200cc go-karts can hit thirty-five miles per hour.

You race these powerful vehicles around a wide racing surface.  This gives you enough room for passing and race maneuvers.  So you get to achieve high speeds and fast lap times!

In addition to the tracks being wide, they also feature a barrier system.  And they have computerized timing and scoring.  This uses a state-of-the-art Club Speed scoring system so the scores and results can be as accurate as possible.

Another great thing about Grand Prix Raceway is that their new facility has a climate-controlled viewing lounge with a video display.

In order to drive, you need to sign a waiver & release of liability agreement.  If you are under the age of eighteen, your parent or legal guardian needs to sign one.

It is not advised that you drive if you are pregnant.  Those with head, neck, or back injuries are not allowed to drive.  If you have an existing injury that hasn’t healed (like if you are in a walking boot or have a hand or wrist brace) then you can’t drive, either.

Helmets have to be worn at all times.  You also should secure all loose clothing before you enter the track area.  You have to wear a shirt and shoes, but not flip flops, slides, or sandals.
