Memorial Day is less than a week away, and that means Pride Month is just around the corner. And this pride month, what better way to spend it than celebrating with a special Pride Night with everyone’s favorite hometown NWSL team?
Yes, this is my long-winded way of saying the Portland Thorns FC Pride Night is just weeks away! This year the Portland Thorns Pride Night will be presented by Daimler Truck North America. It takes place at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 7:00 PM. The Thorns will be playing the North Carolina Courage.
Attending the game is a wonderful way to support the LGBTQIA2S community whether you are a member or an ally.
An added bonus of attending the game? You get to attend an exciting soccer match!
But that’s not the only way you’ll be entertained during the game. A few days ago, Kourtni Capree announced she will be singing at the game!
This is great news, as Kourtni Capree is a popular local artist, comedian, and vocalist. Kourtni is a Black (Non-Binary) Trans Queen who is an Activist for Black and GLBTQ Rights. Oh, and she is a great performer, too!
So this is definitely an event you will want to attend. But of course, you will need a ticket to the game. But luckily you can find tickets at a reasonable price here (and quite frankly, that’s hard to do for sports events these days).
What to Wear to the Thorns Pride Game
So once you have your ticket, you can start planning your outfit!
You could wear Portland Thorns apparel to help root for the home team. You could wear Pride fashion to support the theme of the game.
Or you could wear something themed to both Portland Thorns and pride, like one of these shirts:
- Sophia Smith Portland Thorns PTFC Soccer Football NWSL Pride
- Portland Thorns PTFC Soccer Football Rocky Rodrigues NWSL Championship Pride Shirt
- Portland Thorns PTFC Soccer Football Morgan Weaver Kelli Hubble NWSL Pride
No matter what you choose, we hope you have a lot of fun at the game!
