Fright Fest is back at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas.  It started back on September 6, 2025, and runs through November 2, 2025.  That means we are in for a few months of haunted houses, scare zones, and more.

I want to tell you about

  • What kind of activities are available at Fright Fest:
    • Haunted Mazes
    • Scare Zones
    • Shows
  • How to save money on admission to Fright Fest

There is more than one way to save money on admission to Fright Fest.

Haunted Mazes

Haunted mazes are the premier part of Six Flags Fright and as such, they do cost extra (we’ll go over how to save money on them later).

But the haunted mazes available this year are as follows:

SAW: Legacy of Terror

If you are a fan of the SAW horror movie franchise, then I know you’re excited about this haunted maze.  You’ll get to make your way through some of the most iconic scenes of the film as you immerse yourself in some of John Kramer’s contraptions.

The Conjuring Universe

This haunted maze is based on the films in the Conjuring universe.  Except at Fright Fest, intead of just watching the movies, you get to be part of them.  That means you get to step inside the Warrens’ occult museum and come face-to-face with iconic characters like The Nun, Anabelle, and more.

Cinema Slasher

This haunted maze was inspired by the iconic haunted maze at Knott’s Scary Farm.  Slasher icons and horror movie tropes come to life in this haunted maze.

Hexenhaus

See if you can escape ancient evil and witches in this maze.

Nosferatu

Enter a legendary vampire’s estate in old Europe.

Twisted: Theatre of Torment

This haunted maze features Mr. Tangles and his puppets, and let me tell you – this is not some wholesome kid’s puppet show.

Scare Zones

Scare zones are scattered throughout Six Flags.  You can just wander into one and be spooked by some pretty terrifying creatures.  Scare zones are included in the cost of a general ticket.

  • Carnival of Terrors
  • Hell Valley Cemetery
  • Steampunkins
  • Fear Acres
  • Rockville Festival of Fright
  • Wicked Hollow

Shows

Six Flags Fiesta Texas Fright Fest also has live entertainment:

  • Crossroads: Blues-based and country-inspired takes on Halloween classics
  • Monster Mash Bash: A live performance of classic rock
  • The Arrival: Watch monsters arrive by train and hit the streets
  • Dia de los Muertos: Celebrate life and death in this spirited tradition
  • Frightful Finale: The night ends with a fireworks show choreographed to music

Discount Tickets

There’s more than one way to get a discount on your ticket.  Which ticket you choose depends on how popular of a day you visit.

If you want to attend on a more popular day (such as a Saturday night), then the best way to save money on your ticket is to buy a Six Flags ticket here.  This general Six Flags Fiesta Texas is on sale for 45% off. The ticket will get you into Fright Fest.

Please note that this will not get you admission to the haunted houses.  But it will still be cheaper to buy a discounted ticket there and then to buy a haunted house pass through Six Flag’s website because of all the extra fees on Six Flags’ website.  An added bonus there is that the discounted ticket includes unlimited (non-alcoholic) drinks, so that can be an extra money saver.

But let’s say you want to visit on a less popular day.  Let’s say you have a flexible schedule.  You can buy a Fright Fest ticket that includes haunted house admission through their website here.  Six Flags has dynamic pricing, so less popular days cost less.  Six Flags adds a lot of extra fees to your tickets, but it can still be a bit cheaper on those specific, cheaper days.
