When the sun goes down, the lights go on at Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray, Tennessee. Get ready for a great big dose of holiday cheer at Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland!
This wonderland of lights will begin on November 22, 2023, and it will run through January 7, 2024. It is open 7 nights a week, including holidays, rain or shine, from 6 pm to 10 pm. This is the largest drive through computerized LED light and music show of its kind.
You’ll drive into the fairgrounds with festive holiday music on your radio and the lights will be dancing to the music. Immerse yourself in the magic of the season as you see the dazzling light displays.
Cutting edge technology will be blending with traditional holiday charm. Multi-colored light displays will include whimsical holiday and winter elements. There will be candy canes, snowmen, icicles and toy soldiers. Christmas tree after Christmas tree will be all aglow with colored lights. Your very merry drive through will take you past stars, giant reindeer, angels, presents, gingerbread men and so much more!
You’ll go through three RGB tunnels where you’ll be surrounded by a breathtaking kaleidoscope of colors. And you’ll be seeing the twelve days of Christmas with drummers, partridges and ladies leaping. These giant custom built displays will have you and your family oohing and aahing.
It could be freezing outside but you and your family will be warm and comfortable in your car. That’s one advantage of a drive through. The other advantage is saving you money. If your group of 6 is going into a walk through light show and you had to pay $10 for each person, that would be $60 plus tax and fees. But if you’re in a car, SUV or a mini-van, your total cost would be $29.95 plus tax and fees for one vehicle (the maximum is 8 people).
And I can save you even more money. Take advantage of a pre-show sale and save $5 (16% discount). Don’t delay as this sale won’t last long.
