Port Orleans Resort – Riverside is one of my family’s favorite Disney World hotels. We love its Southern charm, boat transportation to Disney Springs, and other Disney World hotel perks available to guests. And we especially love staying there when we book the hotel at a good rate.
Luckily, through the years, we have discovered ways to book Port Orleans Resort – Riverside at discounted prices. So we want to share with you some of the hacks we use to save money on our hotel stay, as well as current deals.

But back to the money-saving tips!
Swagbucks
This first hack comes in really well if you want to book directly through Disney’s website. You can use Disney gift cards to pay for a stay through Disney’s website. And you can earn free Disney gift cards through Swagbucks!
Swagbucks is a website I’ve been using for over ten years to earn money that I then use towards Disney trips. I have earned thousands of dollars. You can earn Swagbucks through simple things like answering polls or submitting grocery receipts or fun ways like through games. We go over ways to earn money through Swagbucks here.
Look For Deals Through Disney’s Website
So you’ll want to use those Disney gift cards on Disney’s website. But you can also save money by looking for deals through Disney’s website. They will have sales throughout the year, such as a holiday sale in the winter.
Right now, though, they have a really good deal for Port Orleans – Riverside. For select nights this summer, you can get a room as low as $169 per night! For a hotel as great as Port Orleans Riverside, this is an outstanding deal.
A few things, though, I do want to point out about the deal:
- You must be a Disney+ subscriber to qualify for the deal
- The deal is for a Standard Location 5th Sleeper Room, which is in the Alligator Bayou Section. We go over the difference between the hotel sections here

Priceline
A few years ago, I snagged a great deal on a Port Orleans Resort Riverside room by booking through Priceline. The deal I got was better than any deal I could get on Disney’s website, including using my Disney passholder discount. And – no guarantee this could happen to you – but I got upgraded to a Royal Princess Room, which my family loved!
Undercover Tourist
I have not booked a room for Port Orleans Resort – Riverside through Undercover Tourist, but I have booked a room for the other Port Orleans hotel, Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. I got a great rate once for Labor Day weekend (much cheaper than if I had booked through Disney’s website), and I had a great trip.
The other plus of booking through Undercover Tourist is that you can bundle your hotel with Disney World tickets, and that can sometimes save you more money.
So I would recommend you look for a good rate through Undercover Tourist here.
Kayak
Still not seeing a deal you like? Then look for a rate here. They’ll compare multiple websites, so if there is another deal out there, they should find it!
