Big Food & Wine Festival news!  Disney has announced the dates for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival for 2024.  This year, the festival will take place from August 29, 2024, through November 23, 2024.

Keep checking back here for more information!  But for now, check out the information from last year.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival Overview

The Epcot theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida has always held a special place in my heart.  When I was a child, I loved the rides.  But as an adult, I may like the festivals even more.

One of those special festivals they have every year is the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.  It is a wonderful way to try different food and drinks from all over the world.  And the fun doesn’t even stop there as this festival features live music.

But I am getting way ahead of myself.  First, let me start with the global marketplaces.

Global Marketplaces

There are multiple global marketplaces set up throughout the theme park.  It’s always good to know what the festival has to offer before you go so you can start figuring out what you want to try.  If you’re going with friends and family, it’s always great to find marketplaces with foods and drinks for everyone.  If not, it’s great to find a couple of marketplaces that are near each other.  For example, I had family members once who wanted something from Germany while I wanted something from Spain but they were close to each other, so we were able to all order our food and eat together.

Most of the global marketplaces are pop-up booths that are added throughout the park, but there are a few global marketplaces available at permanent locations.

So anyway, I want to go through and discuss the menus from each marketplace to help you plan your trip.  I’ll also let you in on a Green Vacation Deals favorite for some of these marketplaces.

The Alps

Green Vacation Deals Favorite: We loved the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Shaved Ham!

A picture of the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese & Ham which we ordered at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida

It was fantastic.  The bread looks like it would be hard, but it is actually soft and delicious.  It tasted very fresh.  The ham and cheese were so good.  The cornichons were probably our least favorite part.  They were a little sharp, strong, and bitter, and not like pickles we are used to.  But otherwise, this was a wonderful dish!

A picture of the seafood salad you can order at the Spain Global Marketplace at Epcot Food & Wine Festival at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL

The seafood was so good and fresh.  The presentation is great, too.  The spices also blended perfectly.  I especially liked the smoked paprika.  If I did have one quibble – and it’s a minor quibble – I am not a fan of olives so I was not pleased there was an olive in the salad.  But otherwise, it was great!
