The Art of Animation Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, is one of my family’s favorite Disney hotels.  One reason is the food court, Landscape of Flavors.  In this in-depth review, you’ll learn what we like about this food court, including its theming, decor, atmosphere, affordability, and quality of food.

But before I begin, if you are considering a stay at Art of Animation, then I suggest checking out our blog on ways to save at Art of Animation.  This will help you get an affordable rate for Art of Animation.

But enough about booking the hotel – let’s get back to Landscape of Flavors!

Theming & Decor

Art of Animation is themed to classic Disney and Pixar animated movies, but four movies in particular: The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Cars, and Finding Nemo.

The food court is decorated with artwork from those movies.  The pictures are absolutely beautiful.

How to save big on your dream Disney vacation

I love the pictures from the Lion King at Landscape of Flavors, a quick dining experience at Art of Animation in Disney World.

I love the Lion King pictures up at Landscape of Flavors at Art of Animation in Disney World.

In addition to the pictures, the food court is decorated with beautiful colors throughout.  The colors and artwork are so attractive, and they really add to the dining experience.

Atmosphere

In addition to the food court being beautiful, the music also adds to the atmosphere.  They play a lot of cover versions of songs from The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars.

All of this makes the food court a really happy place for my family and me.  It is part of the reason that we always eat multiple meals here when we stay at Art of Animation (the same is true for when we stay at nearby Pop Century – we just walk over!).

The other reasons we like eating here?  The food, which I am about to tell you about.

Food Review

One thing I really like about Landscape of Flavors is the high quality of food.  This is a bit of a contrast from other Disney World value hotels.  The Disney All Star Hotels (All Star Sports, All Star Music, and All Star Movies) can have varying quality of food.  But I’ve almost always loved my food from Landscape of Flavors, and as I mentioned before, I have eaten there many times.

This starts with breakfast food, which is the meal I’ve eaten the most of at Landscape of Flavors.  I love their Vanilla Pancakes.  I always get it with potato barrels and bacon, and it’s always delicious.

But if you want a breakfast that fits the theming of the hotel, consider the character waffles.  They are themed to characters from the four animated classic movies that the hotel celebrates.  I’ve had waffles themed to characters like Ariel, Flounder, Nemo, Mater, Lightning McQueen, and Simba.

I've got waffles with Nemo, Flounder, Simba & more with the character waffles at Art of Animation in Disney World.

Landscape of Flavors also has a delicious Ham & Cheese Omelet.

But I also like Landscape of Flavors for lunch and dinner.  They’ve always had the best variety of food on their menu of the food courts at Disney hotels, with the exception of maybe Coronado Springs.

My favorite dish is the fish and chips.

I have had it multiple times and loved it every time.  It is very tasty, and while I wouldn’t call it cheap (as of February 2026, it costs $12.99), it’s a pretty decent price for seafood at Disney World.  Especially since for starters, the quality of the fish is great and secondly, the portion size is very good.  So good that before I went to Jollywood Nights last November, I wanted to eat something but not too much so I could have treats at the party.  So my sister and I split fish and chips, and it was a good amount for the two of us.

Another dish we really like is the Patty Melt.

It was delicious.  The grilled onions were wonderful, and the double meat (which we appreciated – again, makes it a better bang for your buck) was grilled uniformly.  We highly recommend this dish.

We also recommend the Bacon Cheeseburger

That is another great (i.e. delicious) menu item.

Affordability

But the menu item we most recommend for affordability is the Large Pizza.

Disney's All Star Sports Resort has affordable lunch & dinner options like this family-sized pizza you can get at the End Zone Food Court

We always get the cheese pizza for $20.99, but they also have a pepperoni pizza for $21.99.  This is an exceptional value at Disney World, because my family of four can have it for a meal without being hungry afterwards.  Since most meals at Disney World are well over $10 per person at Disney World, this makes the large pizza a steal.

And on top of that?  The pizza is delicious!  Everyone in my family loves it.  So it is a good decision for your taste buds as well as being a good decision for your checking account.

Another reason why eating at Landscape of Flavors is a great economic decision is the refillable mug system at Disney hotels.

I love how Disney's Pop Century Resort has a refillable mug system.

You can buy one mug and then refill it during your whole vacation for free.

It is more expensive upfront, but you get your money’s worth as the vacation continues.  You can even use it for coffee in the morning.

Conclusion

Landscape of Flavors is one of my family’s favorite food courts at a Disney World hotel because:

  • The decor is gorgeous
  • The music is great
  • The food is delicious
  • It is more affordable than other Disney World restaurants, especially with the family pizza and the refillable mug system

So that is why we recommend eating at Landscape of Flavors when you stay at Art on Animation.  For a full list of other recommendations, check out our Art of Animation tips.
