Top 7 Best Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Food Items
When you think of festivals at Epcot and Disney World and food, there’s probably one festival you think of first. And that’s the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. But the truth is, a lot of festivals at Epcot have great special menu items. And one of those festivals is the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival.
The Epcot Flower & Garden Festival just started a couple of days ago. So of course, my family had to travel to Orlando, Florida to be there for opening day! And we absolutely loved all the topiaries of Disney characters. But we also really loved the food.
But there were seven dishes in particular that really caught our fancy. So today we are going to tell you what the seven best menu items at the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival are!
But before I do, I know that telling you about these delicious food items will have the consequence of making you really want to go to this festival. So I should probably tell you right now that if you do, check out our blog entry about coupons for Disney World tickets. You will want to check this out to save money on tickets.
But first, food!
1. Beef Tenderloin Tips
The food with the highest ratings from our family was the beef tenderloin tips. It comes with a Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce and Whipped Potatoes with Garden Vegetables. This was one my family wanted to have multiple times. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great and the vegetables were tender. You can find this at the Northern Bloom Outpost in the Canada Pavilion.
2. Lobster Tail
Did you know that there is lobster tail available at this festival? You can find it at the Citrus Blossom Outpost near the front of the World Showcase. The dish is a lobster tail with Meyer Lemon Emulsion and Grilled Lemon. And my family absolutely loved it! The blend of lobster with lemon was the perfect mix. And it’s not every day you can get lobster at a reasonable price. Especially at Disney World! So if you love seafood and lobster like I do, I would definitely check out this dish!
3. Tarte aux Oignons Caramelises et Chevre
The Tarte aux Oignons Caramelises et Chevre is found at Fleur de Lys. This outpost is in the France pavilion of the World Showcase. It is a Goat Cheese Tart with Caramelized Onion on a flaky pastry crust. And let me tell you, it was delicious! Definitely one of the best things we ate at the festival.
4. Warm Cheese Strudel
You can get warm cheese strudel with mixed berries at the Bauermarkt. Bauermarkt is an outpost at the Germany pavilion. And you need to go there to get this dish. Because it is delicious! Even my mother liked it and she doesn’t really like sweets. This is a great delicious treat that I know you will love, too.
5. Toasted Pretzel Bread
So my family really loved the food at the Bauermarkt outside Germany. Because we also picked the toasted pretzel bread for this list, and you can also get this at Bauermarkt! The toasted pretzel bread is topped with Black Forest Ham and Melted Gruyere Cheese. And it is delicious! It is a neat and different way to eat a ham & cheese sandwich. Because if you like ham & cheese sandwiches, you will definitely like this dish. And we highly recommend it!
6. Potato Pancake
So you may be getting an idea of my family’s favorite cuisines. Because this next dish, the Potato Pancakes, were also found at the Bauermarkt Outpost in Germany! This Potato Pancake Dish comes with Caramelized Ham, Onions, and Herb Sour Cream. At first, the dish seemed a little cold. But as you get into the dish, the better and better it gets. It’s the kind of dish where after you are done, you are disappointed. So we definitely recommend it!
7. Ravioli
This ravioli dish is available at the Primavera Kitchen Outpost. You can find this at the Italy Pavilion at the World Showcase. The exact dish is Grilled Chicken Ravioli with Spring Vegetables and creamy Pesto Sauce. It was really good and the vegetables were good. But if we had one complaint, it would be that the chicken was in too large of pieces. If you ate a piece that had chicken in it, the chicken would dominate the flavors. The dish would have been even better if the chicken had been cut up more, so you might want to do that if you order it. And we still suggest ordering it, because it was very good!
