Yesterday, I told you about one of the holiday kitchens at the Epcot Festival of the Holidays my family liked, the Tuscany Holiday Kitchen. And today I want to tell you about another one my family really liked, and that is the Yukon Holiday Kitchen! You can find it right outside the Canada Pavilion.
By the way, holiday kitchens at the Epcot Festival of the Holidays are booths set up throughout Epcot theme park selling food and drinks. And if you want more information on these holiday kitchens, check out our Festival of the Holidays Food & Drink Guide. In fact, if you want more information on the entire festival, then check out our Epcot Festival of the Holidays Guide. Then you’ll know everything you need to know about this popular Christmastime event at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida!
But back to Yukon Holiday Kitchen. Yukon Holiday Kitchen is also a holiday kitchen tied to one of the World Showcase Pavilions in Epcot. Just like the Tuscany Holiday Kitchen corresponded to Italy, the Yukon Holiday Kitchen is themed to the Canada World Showcase Pavilion. My family always loved the Canada booths at Epcot festivals because they always have some of the best food. And this one did not disappoint.
So what can you expect there? Well, first let me tell you about their menu.
Menu
Let me start with drinks. You can regional Icewine or regional Red Wine here. You can fittingly get Collective Arts Coffee Maple Porter from Hamilton, Ontario here. Less fittingly (but great drink options!) are 81Bay Brewing Co. Peanut Butter Banana Porter from Tampa, Florida, and Playalinda Brewing Co. Maple Cookie Blonde Ale from Titusville, Florida (although in this case, you always associate maple with Canada, right?). Finishing out the list of drinks is Frozen Joffrey’s Coffee. You can either get a non-alcoholic option or you can get it with Tap 357 Whiskey.
Now, onto the food. A great thing about this food kitchen, unlike some of the others, is that you can get a legitimate meal here rather than just snacks. There’s Beef Bourguignon that comes with crushed potatoes. There’s also Seared Salmon. It comes with butternut squash puree and a maple-bourbon glaze. It also has a side of a fennel-arugula salad.
To top off the list of foods is a dessert option, the Snickerdoodle Cookie which is made with pieces of Snickers.
Review
Let’s start with the menu item most loved by my family, and that was the Beef Bourguignon.
All the tastes blended perfectly together, so while they each had their own taste, they blended very well. The meat was fork tender. The carrots were melt-in-your-mouth good. But the best part was the pearl onions. This dish is highly recommended by us.
The next best dish was the Seared Salmon.
It was some of the best salmon I have ever eaten. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The glaze was really good, as was the butternut squash puree.
But I do have to mention one menu item that was a bit disappointing, which was the Snickerdoodle Cookie.
When I saw it on the menu, I was so excited at the idea of a cookie with Snicker pieces in it, but it was not as good as I thought it would be. It was also not as good as the Snickerdoodle cookies you get for free at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Now, don’t get me wrong. The cookie was good. It’s just some parts of the cookie were better than others. Some bites were delicious and others were okay. So if I were only going to get a certain number of cookies at the festival, I would probably pass on the cookie.
