Wanting to stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort? You can save money on your stay at Old Key West Resort by taking advantage of hacks my family has learned through the years. Let’s go over these hacks.
David’s Vacation Club Rentals
There are two ways to save money when renting a room through David’s Vacation Club Rentals.
Confirmed Reservations
The first way is to book a confirmed reservation from David’s Vacation Club Rentals!
You see, when a Disney Vacation Club member has already made a reservation but won’t be able to go, then you can pick up their reservation using David’s Vacation Club Rentals. The Disney Vacation Club, or DVC, is Disney’s timeshare program, but you don’t have to be a DVC member if you go through David’s.
Over the years, we’ve booked numerous confirmed reservations through David’s (including for Old Key West Resort), and it has saved our family so much money.
Let’s take a look at how you can do it!
Finding Old Key West Confirmed DVC Reservations
First, you’ll want to go to David’s Confirmed Reservations for Renting.
Next, under where it says Confirmed Reservations Filters, find where it says “Resort:” and choose “Old Key West” from the drop down menu.
Now, you can adjust the other filters depending on what you prefer. For example, if you’d like a 3 night stay, you can drag the ends of the “Nights:” filter so that you’re only looking at 3 night stays. If you want to go in April, you can use the drop down menu for “Month” next to “Check In:” to select “April”.
But if you simply want to find the cheapest Old Key West stay, then you won’t change those filters. Instead, next to “Sort:” you’ll choose “Sort by Total Cost (USD) – Lowest to Highest”.
Scroll down, and you’ll see all the available Old Key West stays, starting with the cheapest.
Renting Points for Old Key West
But what if you have specific dates in mind for your Disney vacation, and there aren’t any confirmed reservations for those dates?
Another way to save money at Old Key West is by submitting a specific request. You will need to submit a deposit when you make your request. If your request is filled, the deposit will be applied toward the total cost of the stay. And if your request isn’t filled (such as if there is no availability), you can choose other dates/resorts or refund the deposit.

Booking Through Disney’s Website
There are times where you can’t find availability for renting a DVC room. At those times, it can be possible for you to find a room on Disney’s website.
You can get discounts on these hotels various times throughout the year, especially if you are a Disney annual passholder. You can also get discounts for being a Disney+ subscriber.
But my favorite way to save money on a booking I made through Disney is to use Swagbucks for these purchases. How this works is that I earn money through Swagbucks. We go over how to earn money through Swagbucks here. I can then exchange those Swagbucks for Disney gift cards. And then I use the Disney gift cards to pay for my stay!
And a great thing about these Disney gift cards is you don’t even have to use it for your hotel booking. Let’s say you do find a confirmed reservation for an Old Key West stay on David’s Vacation Rentals a few weeks before your stay, and you are able to cancel the room you booked through Disney’s website. You can then use those Disney gift cards towards dining during your trip!
Priceline
A website that gives you comparable discounts to Disney – and sometimes better – is Priceline. I have used Priceline to book a stay at a Disney hotel multiple times through the past couple of years. You can look for Old Key West stays here.
Kayak
Still can’t find a good deal? You can check Kayak for Old Key West. Kayak compares multiple websites, so if there is a good deal anywhere else, you’ll find it through Kayak!
