Wilmington Delaware Travel Guide
Located on the Christiana and Delaware Rivers, Wilmington is the largest city in Delaware. Called the “Corporate Capital of the World” with more than half of all Fortune 500 companies operating there. The downtown area is a blend of contemporary skyscrapers and historic buildings
Swedish immigrants were the first settlers in Wilmington in 1638. They were followed in turn by the British, the Dutch, and the Quakers. A visit to Fort Christiana will give you a chase to see and experience what it was like to be one of the first colonists.

Check out Brandywine Park for some of the best fishing in the state. Anglers often find muskies, yellow perch, largemouth bass, shad, pickerel, or white perch on the end of their lines.
