Aquatica San Antonio Reopening: Tips for Visiting

The time is here!  After months of avoiding theme parks, we can now go back!  Aquatica San Antonio water park is reopening June 6th, 2020.  So if you’re in the San Antonio, Texas area this weekend, take your kids, friends, or other family members and head to Aquatica!

But like with all reopenings across the world, things will be a bit different to reflect the current situation.  But you can obviously still have a really great time.  Especially if you take our 5 tips on what to do prior to your visit and during your visit.

1. Make a Reservation

Aquatica San Antonio is limiting how many people can get in the park to make sure guests can properly social distance in the park.  So, starting on Friday, June 5th at 10:00 AM CST, you’ll need to click here to make your reservation.  That is when you can start making a reservation.

Everyone will need to make a reservation, no matter if you an annual pass, fun card, or a general admission ticket.  So if you are planning on going and don’t have tickets, don’t wait to get your ticket.  Click here and get your ticket so you’ll be able to easily make your reservation once reservations open up on Friday.  Plus if you buy your tickets online, you save a lot of money!

2. Get a Face Mask

Face coverings are required for all guests ages 2 years old and older in certain parts of the water park.  These places include the park entrance, food & drink areas, retail areas, and other designated areas.  It, luckily, does not include water attractions like the wave pool, water slides, lazy river, etc.

But since you need it to enter the park, you need to buy one if you haven’t already.  You can get one to reflect you and your personality on Etsy.  You can also get face masks and face coverings on Amazon.

3. Take Your Temperature

You will have to pass a temperature screening before you enter Aquatica San Antonio.  If you want to know beforehand what your temperature is, consider getting a non-contact thermometer.  You can check the temperature of your whole family beforehand so you’ll know if someone in your party has a temperature.  This could save you time and potential disappointment.

4. Set Up Contactless Payments

Aquatica San Antonio is playing it safe by making all payments contactless.  That means you are going to need to set up safe, contactless payments like Google Wallet, Apple Pay, and Android Pay if you haven’t already.  But this is a good thing since a lot of businesses now want you pay with contactless payment methods.  So you’re probably going to need to set this up anyway.

5. Use Hand Sanitizer

You’re going to want to stay safe, of course, during your visit to Aquatica San Antonio.  Aquatica San Antonio makes that easier for you by offering hand sanitizer and handwashing stations throughout the park.  But you can make it even safer for yourself and for your friends or family by bringing your own hand sanitizer.  That way, you won’t have to look for a station yourself and can use it whenever you need to!
