Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs
One of the best holiday experiences you can have at Walt Disney World Resort is actually not in a theme park. It is in Disney Springs. And that experience is the Christmas Tree Trail.
The Christmas Tree Trail is an amazing experience where you get to see lots of different Christmas trees. But unlike other Christmas trees you might see this time of the year, they are all themed to Disney! They are all themed to Disney characters, movies or theme parks. And this year for the first time, there are Aladdin and The Lion King! As a big fan of both of those movies, I am very excited they are included!
Here are the Christmas trees you can see in this trail.
Disney Movies
The Disney movies that get their own Christmas tree include:
- Aladdin
- Beauty & the Beast
- Cinderella
- Dumbo
- Fantasia
- Frozen
- Lion King
- Mary Poppins
- Mulan
- Peter Pan
- Pinocchio
- Robin Hood
- Sleeping Beauty
- Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
- Star Wars
- Tangled
- The Little Mermaid
- The Princess & The Frog
- Toy Story
Disney Characters
There are also a few trees themed to specific Disney characters rather than just one movie or movie franchise:
- Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse
- Disney Villains
Disney Parks
There are also a few trees themed to Disney the parks. One of those trees is themed to Disney parks in general. The other Christmas tree is themed to the Haunted Mansion ride.
Christmas Tree Trail Experience
In addition to just seeing the Christmas trees, the Christmas trial experience is really great. There’s great Christmas music playing. Snow even falls sometimes! There are also great holiday treats available. You will definitely want to check out the Egg Noggery. It is themed to the upcoming Disney+ movie, Noelle. But forget the theming. Let’s be totally honest. You’ll want to head to this booth because they serve alcoholic drinks!
At the end of the Christmas Tree Trail, you will see beautiful Toy Soldiers on display. And you’ll also get a chance to get a photo with Santa! This is a great way to combine getting your kid’s picture with Santa with something fun for you!
So we took a video to give you guys a virtual tour so you will see what the experience is like. We went both during the day and at night. We were able to easily get to the Christmas Tree Trail both times because we were staying at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. This is one of the best hotels you can stay in if you want to see the Christmas Tree Trail. That is because it is a really short walk to Disney Springs. And the Christmas Tree Trail is on the exact side you enter Disney Springs if you are coming from there.
There are really four hotels that are a super short walk to the Christmas Tree Trail:
- Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
- Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista
- Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace
- Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista
Buena Vista Palace is the closest. Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is the cheapest. But all four are often cheaper than any of the official Disney hotels and are within walking distance of this great Christmas tree trail. So if you haven’t booked your hotel yet for a holiday trip to Disney World, I would book a stay at one of these hotels!
But back to the Christmas Tree Trail. You can see these beautiful trees yourself, both in the daytime and the nighttime, in our video. So watch this and then book a stay at one of those Disney Springs hotels so your family can enjoy them too!
