The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida is one of my favorite Disney World events.  It is a big reason my family likes to travel to Disney World every spring.  We love seeing all the beautiful flowers and topiaries decorated like popular Disney characters.

But it’s not just about the flowers and gardens.  Like the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot, there are festival markets throughout the theme park.  And these festival markets serve great food and drink menu items.  In this case, they are all themed to flowers and gardens.  And you get to try a lot of really cool foods and drinks.

One of these festival markets is called Epcot Farmers Feast.  It is located near Test Track.  The following drinks are available here:

  • Collective Arts Brewing Blueberry Elderberry Sparkling Hard Tea (from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada)
  • Ghost Mary
    • Translucent Bloody Mary with Boyd & Blair Cucumber Vodka, Tomato Water, Horseradish, Celery Salt & a hint of Pepper

Now, when it comes to foods, this festival market is a bit unique because they have a rotating menu of foods.

Right now, you can get the Early Bloom Menu. This will be available from March 1, 2023, to April 8, 2023.

Since my family loves the festival so much, we were there on day one.  And we really wanted to try this menu because it looked great.

Here are the foods:

  • Chilled Potato and Leek Soup “Vichyssoise”
    • with Bacon Lardons, Potato Croutons, Chive Oil, and Cripsy Leeks
  • Char-grilled Bison Ribeye
    • with Creamy Leek Fondue, Red Wine Butter Sauce & Whipped
  • Spiced Cake
    • with Cream Cheese Icing, Candied Pecans & Parsnip

Early Bloom Menu Review

Let me start with the potato and leek soup.

EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival's Farmers Feast outdoor kitchen has great menu items like this Chilled Potato and Leek Soup “Vichyssoise”

First of all, I should mention we tried it last year at the festival.  And unfortunately, we did not love it last year.  We felt the ingredients were not well blended together.  While the parts with leek were good, the soup as a whole was underwhelming.

Now fast-forward to this year.  We loved it!  It was so much better than last year.  Every bite was full of flavor.  The bacon especially was a burst of flavor.  All the ingredients blended together much better this year.

The char-grilled bison ribeye was also amazing.

The meat was really tender and delicious.  While we love leeks, the bison was actually the best part.

And finally, we loved the spice cake.

The flavors blended so well together.  The icing especially was good.  The pecans added to the overall flavor as well.  It reminded me a bit of carrot cake but even better.

Conclusion

We highly recommend this festival market during the Early Bloom part of the festival.  If you are there before April 8th, we highly recommend it.  The soup, bison, and cake are all amazing.  It all makes a wonderful meal actually.  If you only try a few festival markets during your time at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, then we suggest going to this festival.

Also, in order to attend this festival, you’ll need a ticket to Disney World.  You can find out how to save money on Disney World tickets here.
