Sahara Sam’s Oasis has been keep travelers cool for over fifteen years. In fact, Sahara Sam’s Oasis first opened back in 2009 as the first free-standing indoor waterpark in New Jersey. It was briefly called Big Kahuna’s Waterpark for a few years, but it is now back to its original name of Sahara Sam’s Oasis.
But no matter what name it goes, you are bound to find people ther ehaving fun. After all, they have over 70,000 square feet of an indoor and outdoor water park. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, you can enjoy outdoor pools, a splash area for kids, and a wave pool. But all year long you can enjoy indoor water park attractions beneath a retractable canopy.
This waterpark has a fun island theme. There is an arcade if you want to have some dry fun. They have multiple dining and drink options, like the Chill Zone, Island Time Cafe, The Sand Bar, and Shipwrecked Tiki Bar.
And there are a lot of waterpark attractions. I want to tell you about these attractions. And then I’ll tell you how you can save money on your ticket!
Indoor Waterpark Attractions
Big Kahuna’s Water Park has a lot of great attractions.
They have great slide attractions. Raging Rivers are dual, side-by-side, five-story-high, head-first mat racing slides. Snake Eyes is a tube slide attraction that wraps around the outside of the building. Riptide is a really fast three-hundred-and-fifty-foot body slide.
Mount Kilimanjaro is a family raft ride for around three to four people. You can feel like you’re actually surfing at Flow Rider, which has the distinction of being the only indoor body surf simulator in New Jersey.
You can get active in the water, too. Komodo Crossing is a cargo obstacle course in the water. Aqua Arena is a fun water basketball game.
They have attractions for the younger guests, too. Jungle Hideout is a fun adventure water playground for children. Toddlers can have fun at Little Lizard Landing, which has slides and attractions that are perfect for their size.
And there are relaxing attractions, too. You can relax in the indoor pool, The Hidden Oasis. Tiki Tides Adventure River is a lazy river attraction that spans almost the entire length of the indoor facility. You’ll get to float peacefully under the gardened terrace and past the tropical warming pool, while taking in all the sites of the waterpark. Paradise Cove is a super relaxing hot tub.
Outdoor Attractions
During the summer, you can enjoy a wave pool, Tidal Waves, or a standard outdooor pool, Hibiscus Bay. There’s also a kid-friendly water play area, Little Kahuna Lagoon.
