2020 is here, and you know what that means. We are almost ready for the newest roller coaster at Kings Island!

Orion is part of Kings Island’s new Area 72 area. Here’s the basic storyline. A meteor storm is coming and scientists are in a race against time to develop technology that can weave transport vehicles through the storm. The vehicles will be traveling to a new planet that is part of the Orion constellation. So now these scientists need volunteers for the testing. And that’s where you come in!
So we already love the storyline. But it gets even better when you realize just how great this roller coaster is. Because this isn’t just any old roller coaster. No, Orion is actually one of only seven giga coasters in the entire world. And by giga coasters, I am referring to roller coasters that have a height or drop of between 300 and 399 feet. Once Orion joins the theme park, it will be Kings Island’s fastest, tallest, and longest steel roller coaster.
