Last week, my family had the pleasure of attending the Craft Beer Festival at SeaWorld theme park in Orlando, Florida. The Craft Beer Festival is running on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until September 12th. It’s a really great festival. As the name would imply, the festival is a treat for all beer enthusiasts. The festival features more than one hundred crafts brews, wines, cocktails, and seltzers. So what more could you ask for?
Well, how about some delicious food to eat while you drink your beer? What you may not know is that the SeaWorld Craft Beer Festival also features over 20 food items! They were picked out to be paired with the great drinks for sale at the festival.
So, naturally, we wanted to sample these foods. My family enjoyed picking out the foods we wanted to eat. There are some great tables across from the Shark Aquarium Encounter. The tables are covered, there are fans going, and you can enjoy wonderful views of the water. Most of the stations are really close by so it makes a convenient place to eat, drink, and relax with your family.
So today I want to highlight a few of our favorites. We’ll count down to our favorite food selection.
Prawns
One of the standout foods at this festival is the Old Bay Steamed Giant Prawns. You can get this food at the Cigar City Snacks station, which was right where we were sitting actually.
The prawns were good and the Fresh Lemon Tartar Sauce it came with was very tasty. It was somewhat spicy, however. After a while, your mouth got hotter and hotter. This obviously is fine if you like spicy foods but if you don’t, you might want to stay away from this menu item.
Beer Battered Popcorn Rock Shrimp
Another great shrimp selection you can get can be found at the Kraft Heinz & Sierra Nevada Brewing Company market.
They serve a lot of great food here, including HONEYRACHA Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Smoked Brisket Macaroni & Cheese.
But what I really love here is the Beer Battered Popcorn Rock Shrimp.
They were so good! If I had any complaint, it would just be that I only got four shrimp and I would have liked more! I did not, however, get the Kraft Heinz Four Pepper Ranch that the shrimp comes with, so maybe if I had gotten that it would have been more filling.
Nathan’s Featured Hot Dog
If you are looking for more of an entree item than a snack or appetizer, then you can get a Nathan’s Featured Hot Dog!
It’s available at the Wicked Weed Brewing section, and they also sell a Beer Cured Smoked Pulled Pork Platter.
The hot dog was really good. My dad commented he has always loved eating hot dogs outside. He said there was something about sitting outside, enjoying a hot dog, and looking out at the lake that he really enjoyed.
Golden Pilsner Cured Chicken Wings
But our favorite menu item at the whole festival had to be the chicken wings!
The Golden Pilsner Cured Chicken Wings feature a Savory Garlic Chili Sauce. You can get them at the Sam Adams Boston Brewery Best Bites, which is station #14.
The chicken wings were so delicious. They weren’t too spicy or hot, yet they were very flavorful. We definitely recommend trying this menu item even if you try nothing else at the festival!
Sampling SeaWorld Craft Beer Festival Menu Items
So I know after reading this, you’re going to want to sample some of the food items at this Craft Beer Festival. And I know of course you want to sample the beer!
A great, affordable way to do this is by purchasing a Craft Beer Festival Sampling Lanyard. You can purchase an 8-sample or a 12-sample lanyard and then you can sample 8 or 12 menu items! Of course, in order to attend the SeaWorld Craft Beer Festival, you’ll need a ticket to SeaWorld theme park.
