Summer is going to be lit this year in San Antonio, Texas because SeaWorld San Antonio has a brand new summer event! SeaWorld San Antonio’s Summer Spectacular debuted this year, and there are some great festivities that are part of this event. And of course that is in addition to all the wonderful animal attractions and rides you already love at SeaWorld.
So we wanted to tell you about some of the new attractions at their Summer Spectacular. And then we’ll tell you how you can save money on a ticket!
“Splash!” A SANDsational Cirque Celebration
There’s an all-new acrobatic cirque-style show this summer inside Nautilus Amphitheater.
HydroPower: Xtreme FX
This show is back at SeaWorld San Antonio, and that is good news given how well it was received. In fact, HydroPower: Xtreme FX was voted the number one most creative sports/stunt show at the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards 2022. What it is is a high-powered water ski stunt show that features pyrotechnics, colorful lasers, and even a live rock band. This show will definitely add some excitement to your summer!
ImaginOcean
ImaginOcean is a returning favorite show coming to SeaWorld San Antonio this summer! It is a unique live black-light puppet show from John Tartaglia, who I’ll always remember for his brilliant performance in the Tony Award-winning Broadway show Avenue Q.
ImaginOcean is a magical undersea puppet adventure, so it is obviously a show that makes a lot of sense at SeaWorld. It has a fun plotline dealing with friendship and a treasure hunt. It is a fun show for children and adults. And it even includes a great eclectic soundtrack with music ranging from swing to big band to R&B. You’ll have so much fun you won’t want it to be over!
Sesame Street Block Party
Elmo and other beloved Sesame Street characters, along with SeaWorld’s resident DJ, will help lead the coolest dance party on the block.
Shamu & Crew Parade
I absolutely love Sesame Street parades! Any parade SeaWorld does is great.
And this summer, you’ll get to see an all-new parade. It is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of SeaWorld. It features live costumed characters, dancing, bubbles, and more.
Flippers, Fact & Fun: The Sea Lion Experience
This summer also features a brand new sea lion presentation. It stars California sea lions and Asian small-clawed otters.
Catapult Falls
And don’t forget, while this is not part of the celebration, there is a new ride at SeaWorld you may not have ridden yet. That ride is Catapult Falls. It is the world’s first launched flume coaster which will not only satisfy your need for thrills, but will also satisfy your need to be cooled off in the summer sun!
