Children love Halloween parties, but sometimes it is hard to find an appropriate one to take them to.  It shouldn’t be a scary or sexy event like Halloween parties for adults are.

But if you are looking to take your child to a Halloween party in the Philadelphia area, then I know the perfect one.  You know it will be kid-friendly because it is held at Sesame Place theme park in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Now, you may already be familiar with Sesame Place’s Halloween event, The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular.  That is an event that is included in the cost of admission and takes place during regular operating hours.  You can find a coupon for that event here.

But I am actually talking about a brand new event at Sesame Place.  And that is the Not-So-Spooky Halloween Party!

The Not-So-Spooky Halloween Party takes place in the evening from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  It takes place on October 30, 2023, and October 31, 2023.

It is a separately-ticketed event, but it is very reasonably priced.  Prices start at just $15!

So what can you expect at this event?

Halloween Costume Showcase

The Halloween Costume Showcase takes place at Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage.  Guests can show off their costumes in front of the Dance Party stage.  They’ll be able to sing and dance – and of course, do the Monster Mash!

Don’t have a costume yet for your child?  You can find a great costume here!

Trick-or-Treating & Character Interactions

It’s not every Halloween party that you can trick or treat, but it sure makes the experience!  When your kid takes a trip down the Parade Route, they’ll find eight trick-or-treat stations.  So it’s a safe way to do some trick-or-treating.

Plus, there is something extra that regular trick-or-treating won’t get you.  And that is interaction with beloved Sesame Street characters!  Over 10 Sesame Street characters will be around which means some great photo opportunities and meet-and-greet situations!

And as far as trick-or-treating goes, you can purchase a reusable tote bag when you are there for trick-or-treating.  Or you can purchase a trick-or-treat bag ahead of time and bring your own.

Rides

Your child may not want to go to Sesame Place if they cannot do any of the rides.  Luckily, there are multiple rides open during the event, like Sunny Day Carousel, Vapor Trail, The Castle Swing, The Count’s Cruisers, and The Count’s Fly By.
