Summer may have just started, but it’s not too early to think about fall travel.  And the Universal Orlando Resort gives travelers a great reason to visit Orlando, Florida.  This reason is their special event, Halloween Horror Nights!

Halloween Horror Nights is a popular event that has been thrilling guests for over thirty years.  We discuss the event in more detail in our Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights Guide.

There are a lot of reasons to visit Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, Orlando, but chief among these reasons are the haunted houses.  They have immersive, and downright terrifying, haunted houses.  There will be ten overall this year.  In the past, some of these haunted have been themed to popular TV shows such as Stranger Things or The Last of Us or scary movies such as Poltergeist, Friday the 13th, or The Exorcist.  It is a really neat experience to be completely immersed in some of the most terrifying scenes from the big and small screen.

So naturally, Halloween Horror Night fans are already wondering what the themes are of this year’s haunted houses.  And it might be awhile until we know all of them, but Universal is letting us slowly know what the haunted houses are this year.  You can find out what some of the other haunted houses scheduled for 2024 here.

But today I want to focus on one of the most recently announced haunted houses.  And that is A Quiet Place!

A Quiet Place Haunted House

For the first time ever, there will be a haunted house dedicated to the popular horror franchise of A Quiet Place!

If you’re not familiar with the popular horror movies, the movies are set in post-apocalyptic world where most of humanity has already been wiped out by blind, alien creatures.  They have extremely acute hearing and hunt by sound.  So humans must live in silence to avoid being detected and killed.  it primarily revolves around the Abbott family.  The movies were co-written, directed and co-produced by John Krasinski, who honestly I will always think of as Jim on The Office.

So as you can see, this lends itself really well to a Halloween Horror Night haunted house.  It will feature unique sound design along with special effects and scare actors that should do some really great jump scares.

The haunted house will feature familiar visuals to anyone who has seen A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place II.  So you’ll get to do things like walk on the creaking floorboards of the Abbott farmhouse and see their safe house root cellar.

A really neat thing about this haunted house is that, for the very first time, the haunted house will incorporate the use of American Sign Language (ASL).  Fans of the movie will remember ASL was featured in the film as one of the protagonists is the Abbot’s deaf daughter Regan.
