I’ve passed by Central Park Crêpes many times when walking through Universal Studios Florida, and I’ve always wanted to try it. But last time I was there, I decided to stop wondering what it was like, so I actually tried it. So what did I think? Keep reading to find out what I liked (and didn’t like) about Central Park Crêpes in my review.
Central Park Crêpes, by the way, is a stand (fittingly) near the Central Park part of Universal Studios Florida. It’s across from Mel’s Drive-In (which is a bit confusing when you think about it since that is in the Hollywood section, but the confusing aspect of the setup of Universal Studios Florida is a conversation for another time).
At any rate, it is not a restaurant you can go and sit down in, which is definitely a negative for me (and why I hadn’t tried it before). I do not like eating outside for a lot of reasons. Mainly, that is because it is usually too hot to eat outside in Florida. It rains a lot, too, making eating outside complicated. And there are no tables around there to sit down and eat, and I prefer sitting and eating.
However, what is neat about Central Park Crêpes is that they serve crepes but in street food form. This makes it a lot easier to eat outside.
It’s really neat to watch them make the crepes, by the way. They have a crepe maker and make it the normal way. But it’s neat to watch them put it into the cone so you can easily eat it while standing or walking around. The result is quite attractive, too.
But I have to confess. I did not eat it standing up. I cheated and walked across the street to Mel’s Drive In and ate inside. Someone else in my family wanted a milkshake. And it was really hot that day.
But luckily, I did not get too hot waiting for my crepes. It’s shaded where you wait for the crepes, and there was a nice breeze going.
I also got to enjoy watching a show right outside Mel’s Drive In while I waited, Marilyn & the Diamond Bellas. I had never seen the show before, and I rather enjoyed it. I didn’t have the best view, but I could still enjoy it.
If my crepe had been ready, I could have even walked up and watched in while I ate (speaking of which, you could do the same and watch the parade while you eat since you’re right at the parade route for the Universal Mega Movie Parade, which is a parade I recommend).
I didn’t have to wait terribly long for my crepe (and crepes usually take a little bit of time). And the result, I must sa,y was delicious. Because Central Park Crêpes has a great menu.

I chose the lemon blueberry, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors blended perfectly together. The crepe itself was great, too, and blue, which I had never had before with a crepe. I loved every bite of it.
If you like crepes, then Central Park Crêpes is a great choice for a light meal or a snack. So next time you pass by it when you’re walking through Universal Studios Florida, stop and get one!
