In this guide to the Isle of Berk at Epic Universe, you’ll learn about the rides, entertainment, restaurants, and places to shop in the area.

You see, the newest park at Universal Orlando, Epic Universe, is divided into five different sections. And one of those sections, the Isle of Berk, is themed completely to How to Train Your Dragon! When you enter the park, head to the right and look for the portal entrance. There are three other portal entrances to other lands, but none of them are dragon themed like this one.

Hiccup’s Wing Gliders

Dragon Racer’s Rally

  • On Dragon Racer’s Rally, you’ll ride a Viking-made dragon-riding trainer and twist and turn high up in the air.

Fyre Drill

Where to Stay

If visiting the Isle of Berk is your top reason for your Epic Universe trip, consider staying in a kids’ suite themed to How to Train Your Dragon! The 545 square foot room has a separate children’s room with two twin beds. And, of course, it’s full of How to Train Your Dragon decor! You’ll find this whimsical suite at Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which is right next to Epic Universe and even has its own dedicated entrance.

Otherwise, the two closest hotels to the park are Stella Nova and Terra Luna. They are both within walking distance of Epic Universe, though Stella Nova is much closer and has a walkway.
