Canada’s Wonderland
Your kids will absolutely love Canada’s Wonderland! Canada’s Wonderland is located in the Toronto area (in Vaughan). If you have older kids and teens who love thrill rides, then they’ll love this theme park. Canada’s Wonderland has a whopping 17 roller coasters (second most in the world!). Then for younger kids, Canada’s Wonderland has two different children’s areas: KidZville and Planet Snoopy. Between the two sections, there are 25 different activities for children. Another great place to go with kids is LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is basically an indoor playground for kids. Like Canada’s Wonderland, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is located in Vaughan – and like Canada’s Wonderland, it even has two rides! But that’s not all – LEGOLAND Discovery Centre has fun building areas where kids can have fun being kids and playing with LEGOs. There’s also a 4D Theater. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
I’ve always thought that aquariums were great activities for families to enjoy together. People of all ages can enjoy and appreciate the amazing sea creatures. And there are a lot of sea creatures here: like more than 16,000 from more than 450 species. A lot of the exhibits are really cool, too, and kids will like it. There’s an underwater tunnel with a moving conveyor belt called the Dangerous Lagoon. You’ll be able to watch sharks, stingrays and huge sea turtles swim above or beside you. The Discovery Centre has great hands-on activities that can help keep children engaged. They’ll enjoy being able to touch the skins of sharks and stingrays. There are also interactive dive shows. Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament
There’s a good reason why Medieval Times is Canada’s most popular and longest-running dinner attraction. And that is it’s a lot of fun! You get to enter a European-style castle and watch six knights compete in games of skill. The amazing horses and the swordplay are definitely highlights. And of course, you get a four-course meal. Aerial Tour of Toronto and Niagara Falls
If you’re only traveling to Toronto but you’d like to see Niagara Falls, then this tour is the perfect solution. Toronto To Niagara Falls Day and Evening Tour

They can do the play-by-play calling of some of hockey’s greatest goals. This could be a lot of fun for them (and you!). Canadian Automotive Museum
Canadian Automotive Museum is a great museum that celebrates Canada’s automotive heritage. It’s appropriately located in the historic 1920s Chevrolet/Oakland auto dealership building in Oshawa, Ontario (a.k.a. Canada’s “Motor City”). You’ll see and learn a lot about Canada’s automobile history, including pre-war and post-war. And even if your kids don’t have an appreciation for classic cars, they’ll probably enjoy either the Lightning McQueen from Cars 3 on display or the authentic 1983 DeLorean. Royal Ontario Museum
Royal Ontario Museum is Canada’s largest museum of art, nature, and culture. Now some kids may have it in their mind that museums are “boring”, but the Royal Ontario Museum has a lot of attractions kids like.
ROM has one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of dinosaur skulls, so if your child loves dinosaurs they will enjoy that exhibit. Other exhibits that are a hit with families that you’ll want to check out are the Bat Cave and Mummies. If your child loves animals, they can see live animals on display in Life in Crisis: Schad Gallery of Biodiversity. Patrick and Barbara Keenan Family Gallery of Hands-on Biodiversity is another great place for children. There are interactive displays and touchable exhibits, where kids could touch a shark jaw or snake skin, that can really help learning come alive for kids. Kids can dig for dinosaur bones or try on costumes at the CIBC Discovery Gallery. So this is definitely one place you might want to check out if you’re visiting Toronto with kids. Levelup Reality
Levelup Reality is a great immersive virtual reality arcade experience. They have a reputation for being one of the most fun and adventurous things to do in the Downtown Toronto area. Part of why it is so great is that it has one of the largest libraries of games. They have action, shooters, horror, escape room, and short films experiences. Some of the alternate worlds you can immerse yourself in are the deep sea and a zombie apocalypse.
The only negative thing about this experience is that you have to be at least 8 years old to do it. So if you have younger children, this won’t work. But if you have older kids, this can be a lot of fun. And you get a good deal for this experience by clicking here.
